i think he should stay a year and improve stock because next year will probably be his team. I don't see him as an NBA SF , he isn't agile enough he's stiff and i don't think he can matchup with other SF's

What's the UNC recruiting class like next year? Um, I need Sunny to answer this for me too.

He should stay another year, with his height he looks like a tweener unless he has an undercover perimeter game that he hasnt had the chance to show

Trading the pick if we don't land #1 is getting more appealing.

Yeah I wouldn`t be surprised if we shop the pick for an all-star type player unless there`s someone we absolutely love

Thats the thing with Colangelo - who knows what the hell he's thinking. IF they're aiming to make the playoffs next year then it's in their best interest to trade the pick for a young playmaking PG that can help the team win now but also has room for improvement. We know he won't draft any bigs with Bargs, Val, Amir and Ed on board. There isnt a PG declaring that's going higher than 12, and it seems like he's really sticking with Demar. MKG, Barnes, Beal, they're all good players but I don't think they provide much more improvement than we have now.

Barnes will declare im sure of it. I cant wait for the combine and workouts because right now im having a hard time deciding whos better between Beal,Barnes,MKG,Lamb. Im leaning towards MKG,Beal,Barnes,Lamb in that order but that could easily change

yeah but I really think he is that good of an athlete to adapt to what is needed, plus this year he barely got to play, but one he did he flourished

plus if he stays he'll be a top pick next year lol, so I want his while his stock is simmering

Our Draft board should be

1. Davis
2. Barnes or Lamb
3. Lamb or Barnes
4. PJIII
5. Beal

Like I've been saying, that 12 million in cap room BC created by dealing Barbosa for nothing has to be for something that he has in mind. I believe, according to BC, we have the most pre-July 1 cap space of any team in the NBA. Something to think about.

If rondo is up for grabs then yes trading the pick would make sense. There is honestly only a few players i would trade the pick for

Drafting Barnes @ #2 is stupid.

This guy has so many holes in his game.

I think Kendall Marshall is going to be a steal in this draft. If he can do what he does with NBA players, he'll be able to average 10 assists easily. I think he'll pan out better than at least 2-3 players slated in the top 10 so far.

I actually think there's a good possibility of something like this happening. That trade with Barbosa and the comments by the brass afterward give good reason to believe our pick will be shopped. BC and Casey are trying to make the playoffs an show some promise next season... the tanking seems to be over after the season.

Yep I agree, the tanking is over. Don't necessarily agree with them in doing so but they're already a young team. Don't see them rolling with 2 rookies playing key roles if making the playoffs is the goal.

Analysis:

I see Thomas Robinson as a SF in the league and not a PF. He'll excel because he actually has some handles and an outside shot.

There's no way Anthony Davis will thrive as a PF in the league because he's just way too wiry and will be bodied by opposing big men. Quincy Acy physically dominated him in today's game, imagine what real NBA players will do to him in the paint. He'll be a good weak side defender but with below average offense and a skinny frame like that I don't see him being more than a very rich mans Hakim Warrick.

Barnes played well. I like his game, especially his jumper and i was happy with his willingness to drive into the paint today. However, all of you calling for us to draft Barnes must understand that we'll unlikely get him as there are a handful of teams with worse records that he will likely fall to.

Perry Jones is a piece of sh*t. I used to be a supporter of his in the fall but during the last month of the season before the tournament he completely folded and stopped producing. He ought to work on his game and stay in school or else he's going to be a very late 1st rounder.

very good but really different for unc. They got a bunch of guys signed but none are elite, or really even close to it. The best is Marcus paige who is an all american. Brice Johnson will be a solid player at PF to replace Henson. I havnt see the other two guys so I cant comment.

In 2013 they have an amazing pg in NAte Britt who I really like

Yup that's exactly what Casey has already said. If we want to make "strides" next season... two rookies aren't going to take us where we want to go. I don't mind the thought, but only if it's for some legit guys that are in the same age group as Bargnani (aka Rondo/Gay).

I want to get another first rounder to get Q.Miller if we get Anthony Davis, he looks like the biggest steal right now. nice jumper, decent handle, excellent length and brimming with potential. either him or lamb who is gonna inevitably slip.
