Interesting. Who would you pick at 2nd? I'm just waiting to dig the holes in your opinion of 2nd pick lol.

There will be a ton of guys better than Harrison Barnes in this draft. MKG, Bradley Beal, Austin Rivers, Sullinger Lamb etc...

You understand English right? I ask you who you would pick at 2nd.

Bradley Beal.

I'm extremely disappointed with his performance. I thought he would have the mindset to fight through a slump, but he showed me nothing.

Now now, nothing? lol that's an exaggeration. He fought through slump earlier on and displayed shooting clutch in first half and showed dribble drive ability in 2nd half but literally the entire UNC empire collapse in 2nd half. Not one could do anything right in that roster in the final stretch.

Robinson is a lot more coordinated with his ball handling than Davis, yes he's muscular and strong but just because of that he shouldn't be disqualified from the SF position. Have you not heard of great rebounding SF's? He has the ability to stretch the floor at his position and just like Davis, I feel like he is undersized to start as a PF. Robinson has a face up game and a sweet jumper, he can hit the 3 point shot, these are things that Anthony Davis struggles at.

I will agree with your KG comparison, however, KG was a much more aggressive offensive and agile player on his feet than Davis is now. Davis is great defensively, you're right about that but you dont start a guy like him at the PF position just to get backed down by larger opposing big men and hope that his timing is right when he goes for blocks. In the NBA, it's going to be hard for him to block a lot of the shots he does now simply because everyone has better low post moves.

In reference to Thomas Robinson playing SF, I am speaking about him in the context of this team, I would definitely start him at the SF position and have him play the outside in game he likes to play around the baseline area while Bargnani stands around the 3point line and shoots his jumpers, while Valancinuas does the dirty work on the glass and moves off pick and rolls. That would keep teams completely honest on defense as we would be able to hurt them in so many different ways.
[/quote]

Davis is pretty young he's going to put on weight and will be harder to back down... robinson would be wasted at SF

unc had 8 burger boys. Barnes was supposed to be the man. he wasn't.

Look at how little respect Lamb has gotten for not being able to lead his team. In my opinion, Lamb had a better season than Barnes and played on a way way way more helpless team in a much worse situation.

I'm just finding it harder and harder to defend him. I went from absolutely loving the thought of him as a Raptor to thinking he could actually hurt us. I just think that if you're as good as he's supposed to be you should be the one guy to play well when you're entire team needs a lift.

Wow. I see everyone talks of MKG being 2nd, Drummond@2nd, and now Beal at 2nd? Bravo dude. I'm not so sure if all GMs would pick Beal@2nd. I would love to see him at 4-7 range for us, that's what most project him to be at but Beal@2nd, your list is pretty weird, it reminds me of Doc's board. You two have something in common, in a bad way.

I know, but its getting to the point that others aren't posting in the thread due to a few posters being overly passionate. People should be able to post thoughts w/ out being harassed into defending thier thoughts thru and thru.

Sometimes talent requires a different setting, there's alot of talent who didn't do well in the college setting but ended up exploding in the NBA level, don't write him off this quickly.

I hope you're right. And like I said yesterday, if he becomes a Raptor I'm behind him 100%, if not he can suck a lemon

Not seeing this Miller love at all. I've watched several Baylor games but I still haven't seen Miller yet...
Kid was a high recruit but he hasn't done much all year and pulled a huge disappearing act when the games counted the most. Do not want. He definitely needs to return to school for another year.

Just a hypothetical... but how do you guys think Kobongo would do as UNCs PG.. and how do you think Marshall would do as Texas's PG?... I personally think Kobongo would be a lottery pick.

Harassed? I'm not even threatening anyone here :o And it's not the first day I joined this forum anyways, people go back and forth at each other with bunch of disagreements here and there. It's a warzone, I enjoy it. I don't go beyond swearing AT you or saying "yo ma ma" or "you wanna fight? I wanna take you on now", I've seen that on NBA draft board which had me LOL

I agree with this top 5. Davis, MKG and Beal have been the 3 best in the tourney IMO

Chad Ford had Tyrus Thomas as the number 1 in 2006 (Bargs, Roy,etc..):

I have not seen anything special about Drummond this year, they ve called him the man-child well he played more like a Child this year, just very timid.

MKG as the second pick is beyond me.

T-Rob's height as an NBA PF is questionable at this point to rank him so high but will wait for his combine measurements

After the workouts, no way MKG and Beal are drafted before Barnes and Lamb (especially MKG) but again Adam Morrison was drafted before Rudy Gay so anything is possible..

Just a sidenote, but i didn't even know that you were warned, so that should show you that 2 Mod's noticed something similar. Just take it easy....I read all your posts in the draft threads because you are knowledgeable.

Scenraio:

A few teams jump into the top 3 pushing New Orleans down to 5/6 pick along with their no.12 pick. The Raptors have the no.2 pick and New Orleans is looking to trade up to get their guy - MKG or Drummond say.

Do you:

Keep the no.2 pick?

Trade down for New Orleans two lottery picks?

Trade the no.2 pick in a package for an all-Star/borderline talent?

Kabongo would thrive in the transition play in UNC, and a defensive upgrade but he doesn't have the patience and poise that Marshall has. He tends to go out of control whereas Marshall doesn't do that. But Kabongo probably avg less than 5 points in UNC for sure lol.

Marshall would still dish quite abit but not as equally as much since the big men in Texas are nonexistent. Jacobi Brown would avg 40 attempt if he plays with Marshall. Texas is more defensively oriented, Marshall's glaring defensive flaws would present a problem for Texas. I say Marshall is better suited for UNC system than in Texas's system. Kabongo definitely wins this round.

If it's #2 hell yeah I trade down and take 5/6 & 12. I'd go Beal/MKG/Barnes and Rivers/Lamb/Lillard/Miller at 12. It's better than having to pick at #2 between Drummond, MKG, Barnes and Beal.
