I dont really get all the love that barnes gets. Okay so he's the most polished wing prospect in this draft but everytime i've watched him he's been disappointing. His impact seems to be tied soley on his ability to score. Right now i'd take MKG over barnes all day. He may not be as polished offensively but you can't ignore the impact that he's had for kentucky.

The Raps should have this draft board: Davis, Beal, Drummond, Barnes, Lamb (in that order).
Make a deal for Quincy Miller and deal two of 2013 lotto protected 1st/DeRozan/Bargnani for James Harden + Eric Maynor S&T. In 2013, sign a FA PG then build around Harden, Drummond, Val, Miller, FA PG
...that would be awesome
Personal opinion but I don't think I'd loathe anything more than coming out of the draft with Q Miller and Drummond.

Completely understand where you and a lot of other people are coming from. But we have to swing for the fences here. In the current state of our team, we cannot afford to pass up on potential All-Star talent. Slice it any way you want but I think that's crazy. So Drummond's not Amare...big deal. If you look at his stats, he's still a pretty damn good post defender. Sure his offense could use some polish be that can be fixed. The Drummond-Val frontcourt is too close to future league dominance for me to pass up.
Miller's a different player. I think he's got the potential to be the best SF in this class though. Team needs aside, he's got some pretty good ball handling skills for a forward but he needs to get better defensively. His poor performance this year coupled with coming off that injury makes him a really good buy low option...especially if he can be had for Ed Davis. I like Davis but if I could get a SF prospect like Miller for Davis, I wouldn't think twice. Like I said, we need to make moves here in the draft. I agree that going back to Baylor would probably be best for him though.
The only two SURE things are Davis and Beal. Those guys are pretty much locks for NBA all-stars. Everyone else is questionable is some way, shape or form...except Lamb but he's projected to go later (though I wouldn't be surprised if he's taken earlier by a team who doesn't want to take a risk). Those three are the safest picks in the draft. So I'd rather swing for Drummond and have him work with Hakeem day and night and see where it goes. At the very least, he looks to be a pretty good defender in the post. Miller is more of a "fit" move and I could see teams looking him over due to the aforementioned issues and it's something we should capitalize on.
I'm definitely against trading him for the likes of Gay, Rondo etc. Those player will put us RIGHT back on the treadmill. It would be the stupidest move we could possibly make...I'd probably stop following this team. If the pick must be traded, I want a really good player on their rookie deal (Harden, George etc). Why bring in another big salary player right now? We're in a good position and with the right FA signings (for the right amount) and some vets, we should be able to make the playoffs this year.

Not sure if this has been posted:

Says everything you need to know. I don't want the raptors going anywhere near him.

Re: Official Raptors 2012 NBA Draft Thread, Part 9
I think I'd trade down for a chance to take any two of Lillard/Marshall, J. Lamb, Tony Mitchell, and Harkless.
I find myself very intrigued by the athleticism of Harkless and Mitchell, in particular. So, to come out of this draft with a Lamb and Harkless, for example, would be real nice, even though I'm pretty sure both would come off the bench behind veteran acquisitions.

Sucks to see a guy that could be the best but "get's tired of" being expected to be. IMO this kind of quote is the reason scouts are wary of him and he's basically confirming it.
Seems like the exact same dilemma with Drummond, and his ceiling was even higher coming into UCONN.

I bet if you ask Davis this question, he would say "I feel like a number one pick." And MKG would say something like "shut yo mouth, I am the best, its a blessing, I can't believe it, *long pause* keeping it real, I am. I AM."

I thought averaging 13ppg when you`re being played as the 1st option said enough already....

I don't get the Lamb love at all. Hes gonna be an average starter at best, he can't really create his own offense.
At this point my draft board is:
Harrison Barnes
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Royce White
Kendall Marshall

Umm, props to you for Barnes on your list, but out of all 4 wings (Beal/Barnes/MKG), Lamb's probably the best at creating his own offense.

Probably because he's actually the TOP scoring wing in the draft and CAN create his own offence.

You might want to check more videos of Jeremy Lamb, as I have been saying after the workouts no way MKG is taken ahead of Lamb.. Energy and high motor can only take you so far if you are a poor shooter with broken mechanics that plays under the rim as a projected SF

I don't have pace-adjusted numbers there, but I do have ORtg/DRtg. I can add the per36 numbers as well.
This is DX's top 8, along with their PERs:
1. Davis - 35.4
2. Drummond - 21.9
3. MKG - 21.4
4. Robinson - 28
5. Beal - 22
6. Sullinger - 30.9
7. Barnes - 21.7
8. Henson - 25
