Game Thread: Orlando @ Toronto - 7PM EST
Tonight we face off against the Toronto Raptors in the Air Canada Center.
Last Two Meetings:
01/01 - TOR 96 @ ORL 102
03/05 - ORL 92 @ TOR 88
ORLANDO STARTERS
JAMEER NELSON
JASON RICHARSON
HEDO TURKOGLU
RYAN ANDERSON
DWIGHT HOWARD
TORONTO STARTERS
JOSE CALDERON
GARY FORBES
JAMES JOHNSON
ANDREA BARGNANI
AARON GRAY
KEYS TO THIS GAME
Orlando are coming in 2-0 in the series thus far, looking to take the final game. Both previous meetings have been relatively close. The first required a come from behind (including a blow out 4th) to see the victory, the second game was steady back and forth play throughout the game.
Toronto are missing DeRozan who has scored well in the past two meetings, but are likely to rely on Barg's, who historically plays well against the Magic, with a three that feels like it never misses.
Anderson and Dwight both have played well this year versus the Raptors, and you can't help but feel that winning the front court battle will be the key. Anderson limiting Barg's, and nullifying him with his own offence, and Dwight just giving their bigs a torrid time in the center.
Raptors coming in at 16-33, Orlando at 31-18 won't mean much, this match up rarely disappoints.

I'll try and spruce it up when I get back from basketball myself.

Like every team we play against, we can't take them lightly or they could easily take us down. just play hard, don't turn the ball over, and feed Dwight (Aaron Gray, really???).
I expect a win tonight. hopefully in blowout fashion, but, I expect it to be anywhere between a 10-15 point win.

Good luck, guys. I expect a close game with the Magic winning in the end. Tank Nation.
Btw, it's crazy how in every opponents gamethread someone mentions Aaron Gray like he shouldn't be in the league, by half time they're saying "Gray is scoring on us, this is sad". Believe it or not, he's a very serviceable big man. Not a star by any means but he will give you quality minutes.

Good thread Damo. As I will say each and every game thread; play hard, play smart, produce good ball movement from side to side and feed the big fella down low so we can play inside and out. Seems like forever since I've seen us play, time to get us a good win...LET'S GET IT!!!

I don't think the Magic will be able to match the energy of the Raptors.
Calderon and Bargs will be too much
Toronto by 8 points

Gray is an okay scorer, but, I meant he will not (at least he shouldn't be able to) stop Dwight. oh, and good luck to you guys too. even though I doubt you guys want to win anymore.

Sounds like how opposing fans used to talk about Ryan Anderson, I feel your pain. Also the Magic are playing a game tonight? Seems like we haven't played in 3 weeks..

Re: Game Thread: Orlando @ Toronto - 7PM EST
aaron gray has proven himself last year vs lakers, i was hoping we would sign him that off-season. it was an unusually great pickup for toronto.
that being said...

in hedo we defend.
and...

We believe Dwight, Magic are legit.

"Aaron Gordon will cost Henny's job by Dec 2016." Predicted Dec 2014.
"O'Quinn will have a longer and more successful NBA career than Nicholson." Predicted Jun 2012. Verified on Dec 2014.

Except for us, haha...Many Raptors fans have always thought highly of Anderson and Reddick before they started really contributing. Whenever the Rapts play the Magic it was expected either or both these two guys would go for 20+ and that often happened.
Both of our franchises have suffered a bit from bi-polar rosters. Guys with talent but lack any sort of consistency and execution. Hopefully your FO finds a way to keep Howard in check and not let him run the franchise. It left a bad taste in my mouth when I heard Howard asking for more 4th quarter, crunch time touches when the guy puts in little effort with little progress gained in his post-game and flat out tells people that ''hey, if I haven't been able to learn to shoot FTs after being x years in the league, there's a reason for that.''
We know what it's like when star players take the team hostage so hopefully you guys get a positive resolution.
Cheers and hope you guys get the win tonight.

Must win with the tough 3 game stretch coming up against the Knicks, Mavs, and Nuggets

By the way, I am going to do a little complaining about the ridiculous number of new threads that have crept there way back into this forum. I knew the speculation thread cleaned up a ton of that, but even I didn't realize how many garbage threads are started!

The ending of that thread really killed my desire to come here and post. I can't follow so many threads. The entire first page is pretty much new threads.

Re: Game Thread: Orlando @ Toronto - 7PM EST
With us having two days off, I believe we will look more crisp on both ends. I am sure we were able to get some practice in and hopefully we can correct the issues with turning the ball over and make smarter passes on the offensive end. Our rotations hopefully will look better as well.

I agree.. We should really have 1 general thread again about rumors/speculation for the summer ..
Way too many new threads about the same thing these days ..
Oh, and I vote for DJ to make it again
