with this post, i am 9 posts away from tying sofa in post count. either one of us isn't on nearly as much as they should be or one of us is on much more than they should be. methinks it's probably a combination thing going, but i think i'm leaning more towards sofa on this one

Don't get me wrong. It had really great memorable moments and awesome one liners from almost every character, but it resembles the other Marvel movies exactly to the core so I didn't really think it was anything epic like most did. I feel without Loki and Tony Stark, the movie really would have been a basic action movie. And I surprisingly liked Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, even though Edward Norton was robbed of the role.

i've always found the bolded part to be a ridiculous argument, of course things would be different without those two they are mains characters in the movie! it would just be like me saying tdk would not have been good without batman and the joker

also of course it resembles the other marvel movies they are trying to weave them together into one giant story- what made this one more 'epic' was the combination of all the superheros in one movie, which is a mighty undertaking and to actually pull it off is a pretty big deal i would say
