Bibby got the game ball. His 3 was huge, regardless if Lebron hit one after.

All except the parts that were 'Stat Ball.'

Melo had the points, but Amare played like a man today. Did a little of everything.

It was still iso heavy, but there were times he made some good passes, one I remember to bibby for a three.... amare played very well and at times interacted with melo nicely.. but he looked for guys and they were just not hitting.. both teams actually..

we are going to need another huge contribution from amare and other guys game 5... I am not sure we can expect carmelo to go for 40 again vs a focused and determined heat defense... we nee other guys to be involved and to continue to play well... we are now without baron, so lets hope TD can step up...

In case people haven't noticed, we're sort of running low on offensive talent right now..... With Lin/Shump out... JR/Novak determinant/rendered useless - there isn't much hope in winning a game outside of Melo putting up a big number and buckling down on D.

Stat was able to contribute, which we'll also need.. But to beat a Heat team like this, with the little we have, Melo has to go 15-29 for us to have a chance.. And Stat needs to do something - which he did.

JR isn't reliable.. Fields won't do anything when it matters (or ever).. Novak won't get anything up.. Tyson won't do much on offense..

It's pretty much the Stat and Melo show on offense by default.

Agreed. I think Melo has to be the #1 option on offense, and STAT has to understand that. Melo is the more clutch player, and can create his own shot better than STAT. I think this team is at its best when STAT takes a Pau Gasol type role, do everything, finish inside, rebound, dirty work, and just play off Kobe(Melo). That is when the Knicks are really dangerous. STAT can get 20 just by making teams pay for focusing on Carmelo too much on defense, like he did today. Lots of catches deep, and finishing strong.

yea, at the time, I think both teams combined were like 3 for 10000000000..LOL.. our offense was stalling a bit, and Jr made such a nice play and pass to bibby, it really set the tone for us to win this game.. someone other than carmelo and amare hit a shot, and that was a big shot..

hey im all for giving bibby the love...big shot! i see that as a motivational tool from woodson also as bibby most likely will be starting game 5 and we will need a big contribution him so it makes logical sense to give him the confidence.

the fact that bot amare and melo basically put this team on there collective backs tonight...they deserved a split of the game ball...without them playing well we don't even come close...the next highest scorer was 7

i am praying to god JR doesn't go 3-15 again...i doubt he will.

he has the confidence and short memory to have a huge game in miami and knowing the heat they are going to blitz are guards (make sure they can't dribble) and melo every time they have the ball...guys are going to have to hit shots when there open

What I like is how everyone forgot about the first quarter. The best thing about the 1st was we did not get Melo started early. Good teams get their role players hot early, because stars ignite with greater ease. Having Fields run the offense, which he did for the first few minutes, got the ball moving around a lot and led to Amares easy opportunities early on. We won the 1st quarter by 2 points, largely because of Fields.

yea, great defense by stat and fields.. miami is going to have to figure out that late game thing.. I said it before, I see that as a problem....lebron made some huge shots that qtr and they go to wade... not sure that was the move to do...

then wade dribbles in the lane and then runs out to the three point line to chuck a contested three? that was not good basketball..

Felt like the first time Amare and Melo played well together in a big game. Nice to get a playoff win and save the embarrassment of a sweep.

Davis went down and it seems like we can't catch a break from injuries. A Lin return and win next game makes a great story and interesting series.

And if our season ends next game, I'll be happy that it means the end of JR on this team, made me punch my couch at one point...

that is a good point.. because games are not always won in the 4th qtr.. fields got off to a good start and we won the qtr.... scorers and allstars are going to get their points, but it is still a team game.... today it wasn't chalmers hitting big shots, it was bibby for us.... that is huge.. it was fields early.. that was huge.. melo and amare finally did what they are expected to do.... and that is good.. but as you said, we can't forget the first qtr..

Hopefully Davis injury hasn't got Lin shook. Much respect to B-Diddy. Lin doesn't even play with any explosiveness. He should be fine. Just don't over play him.

Can't wait till everyone is healthy.

Also, is there some sort of exercises that can be done to strength the muscles around the knees. If there is, the Knicks medical and training staff certainly don't have the Knicks' players doing any of these exercises. NONE!! They should be fired.

Pause that at 10 seconds in.
They ran a simple pick and roll with the court spread out. We leaked in, and had a 3 v 2 on Wade and Bosh. Chris sort of hid behind Fields, making the pass almost impossible. If bosh flared out to about 12 feet to get open, thats a clean shot.
