I can definitely see Marty walking away after this. Why come back for another season if you can go out after a Stanley Cup finals experience while playing at a high level?

Win or loss I would imagine this is it for him. Thats Devils team isn't getting any better and going out after a cup final is a pretty good way to end a career.

It's amazing how much we forget how loaded that Devils roster is and how injured they were last year.

I'm just glad that we should have some offensive flow in these games.

First game goes to overtime.
"I definitely knew he traveled, but I didn't know they were going to call it. That was one of them situations in which a great player made a move...and they called the call. And I was like, 'Oh, man, there is a God.'

One thing has stuck out to me more than anything else in this first game: Jeff Carter might be a very good goal scorer, but he is a terrible hockey player. He drifts all over the defensive zone, always losing his man; he can't get the puck out; he is weak on the boards and weak on the puck; essentially he is absent minded if the puck is on his side of center.

Damn, it seemed like the Devils had the zone for most of the OT until that last breakaway.

Where in God's name did Zubrus go on that game-winner?
