Iggy and Thad to Lakers for Gasol and Artest. We need a strong players at the 3 to stop LeBron as long as he is in MIami. Miami is this teams raodblock and i think the eastern champinship will be through MIami for the next couple of years. Turner, Jrue, Artest, Gasol, and Allen. Is a great defensive team. Brand and Vucevic can play backup to this team.

This team can also trade Brands last year also for another good player a team might want to unload. This teams options are limitless.

Iguodala and Thad have way more left in the tank than their counterparts you would be getting in this deal. That would be a terrible deal IMO.

Hmm i dont know about this one. Two players on the decline for Iggy and Young. Artest lost his ability to score

I could see the sixers trying to keep their so called young core of, Iggy,Jrue,Turner,Young,Lou. And trying to add something big with EBs contract whether its through amnesty or trade. Al Jefferson is number one target IMO

Turner has to go ...

Even more stupid than drafting him, would be to hold on to him while he still has some value.

Would anyone object a deal of Turner and Brand for Al Jefferson and Raja Bell

I sure would! That is an awful idea! Raja Bell is 87 years old and Al Jefferson proved his true worth in the playoffs this past month.

Al played pretty well in the playoffs if you ask me, averaged 20 and 9 over spurs series.

Maybe utah would like a salary dump, We would just absorb Als contract by amnesy brand.

There's no reason for us to look to acquire players who have peaked or are already on the decline. If we makes moves, it should be a youth movement.

Trade for Artest. Really? At this point he is a better boxer than a basketball player...

That might be your perspective as a fan but not to a team that just took the boston celtics to 7 games in the 2nd round. Sixers arent going to look to add more prospects and projects, they are going to try to win now. I dont see them standing pat or making a youth movement, they will bring a impact player in

A couple things: 18 ppg is not 20 ppg, and that 18 ppg is coming from 17 shots per night. Not good. Jefferson has consistently put up empty stats throughout his career. I'd rather not bring that to Philly.

That would be not looking at the big picture.

The Celtics are no good and the Sixers would have been out in round 1 again had Rose and Noah not gotten hurt. Don't let this fraudulent run delude your thinking.

This team needs a superstar(or two) and major changes.

Clear cap room, go after Deron Williams and start from there. He's a guy other players would want to play with, and with him you have the young pieces to trade for another top tier piece. Like Dwight Howard or a Bynum.

With that said, do I think that will happen? No, because great things like that never happen with this franchise, but the opportunity is there to rebuild this team into a contender, and trading for declining vets is not the way to do it.

Doug and Rod have made it very obvious what the goal is for months. They want to acquire players who can score AND bigs who are athletic. They also said they need to get bigger on the wing for backups. Basically a shot at Lou and Jodie since they were at a huge disadvantage with real SG/SF's.

Does Al Jefferson fit the athletic big criteria? Definitely not!
Does Roy Hibbert fit that athletic big criteria? Definitely not!
Does Spencer fit...ah, hell...why am I asking that? LOL
Does Kris Humphries fit that description? Nope.
Does Brook Lopez fit it? Nope.
Does Chris Kaman fit? Nope.

So who does (that is even a remote possibility)?

Javale McGee - but he's restricted so we don't control that.
Dwight Howard - 0.001% chance
Josh Smith does - maybe deal involving Andre or something with ET+?
Anderson Varejao - he might fit and might be a trade possibility
Dalembert - would we bring him back? Doubtful
DeAndre Jordan - any chance the Clippers make him available?
Paul Gasol - not really athletic, but he's very mobile which I think is more what they mean.
Derrick Williams - do they think he could play the 4 full time?
Amare Stoudamire - definitely still athletic by PF standards and could be the #1 scorer.
Biyombo - could we pry him away from Charlotte?
Amir Johnson - smaller type deal for him? Maybe for Lou in S/T?
Favors - .0001% chance
Paul Millsap - not exactly athletic, but very mobile...can play some SF in big lineups
Andray Blatche - they wouldn't go after him, would they?
Bynum - not possible, right?
Nene - doubt Wash would move him considering how well they played after he got there.

Beyond those guys, I'm having a hard time finding realistic possibilities. There's guys like Leonard/Moultrie/Drummond/Henson in the draft, but I doubt they would see any of those guys making a big impact next year.

Al Jefferson is a back hole on offense & doesn't play a lick of defense. Turner has heart. I think the team is more likely to build a trade around Iggy for Jefferson if it happens.
