Re: SixerFan1976 Offseason Thread
i dont think they are giving up on ET. But no one on team in untradeable...they are open to anything but prefer to keep Jrue and ET.
Not sure if ET would net them matthews.
As for Deron...they think Jrue could play SG with Deron at PG. Turner either at SF, off bench or I guess traded. They feel like could solve that later if Deron was acquired. I really don't see us getting him tho.

Re: SixerFan1976 Offseason Thread
I think its pretty simple really. If DWill comes here and Iguodala is a reason for that, then Iguodala stays and either Turner or Jrue are traded for a big man. If DWill comes but likes the young core he can join then Iguodala is traded for a big man. and you just put Dwill at the 1, with Jrue at the 2(like the Clippers wanted with Paul and Billups). Turner would then slide over and be our do it all SF in Iguodala's old spot. A stretch 4 would probably need to be added though to that lineup, someone like Ryan Anderson.

So basically he is Iguodala without the dunks.

Yup.....they could go hard right away for Deron(with Elton's amnesty as the money)...and once he is committed.....go to the plans in place to pursue after the Deron signs scenario.
They are seriously going to have like a tree branch strategy out there for multiple scenarios and try their best to execute the plan. Its gonna be active I guarantee...what I cant guarantee is that you will like it. LOL

Listen if Deron williams were to come here the one guy he would want to play with is Iguodala, Trading Iguodala for Batum and Matthews will never happen.

Makes perfect sense to me. Only thing that would upset me is seeing Jrue and Evan gone for a team that I still dont feel is better than the Heat. Otherwise Ill be happy no matter what.
It only takes one domino to fall to make them all fall, we just have to wait and find out which domino falls first, then the rest will naturally fall into place. However no matter who we get and what direction we take, a shot blocking center HAS to be part of every scenario in my opinion. Whether its Dwight Howard or Samuel Dalembert I dont really care, just get a shot blocker.

I think he would want a big man honestly but hey...if you get him to sign I would be majorly impressed. I think Philly isnt a priority for him

Lol.. If we don't like it = it's not good enough, than whats the point of doing it all?
Yeah, the dominos.. IF we snap Deron > he will want to play with Iggy > Deron + Iggy makes Howard wanna play here, and we have our big 3..

Me saying I wont like it, is in personal terms I wont like it. If I personally dont think we are better than the Heat. Doesnt necessarily mean the front office will think the same. But that is only way I come out of this offseason unhappy. No Jrue, No Evan, and a team I personally feel isnt good enough to beat the Heat.

I don't think Deron will sign here either. Not because they won't try or won't have the money. I just don't think this Sixers season was enough to convince players that this team is anything other than an ordinary run of the mill organization.
But who knows? They convinced Brand to come here.

Re: SixerFan1976 Offseason Thread
What about Iggy to the Warriors for the #7-8, and filler (either Jefferson or Biedrins/Wright)? With perhaps another pick sent your way (the 30th overall from the Spurs, or a future protected pick)?
Heard that one like 3-4 times now, from sources of varying credibility. Ws are keen on keeping that pick no matter what happens in the lottery, and it would seem to be in order to trade it, rather than keep it.
Iggy fits very well on their team if they can dump some contractual ballast.

I don't think 13 PPG is close to his ceiling. Maybe more like 18-20 PPG, along with 6-7 rebounds, 3-4 assists, and solid defense. He has to stop letting people get into his head if he wants to reach his full potential, though.
Let's remember that he has only started 34 regular season games in his entire NBA career, and already has some much needed postseason experience. As long as Doug continues to give him burn on a consistent basis, he'll be fine.
I fully expect him to be our most improved player next year.

I would have to SERIOUSLY consider that deal if im the Sixers. Especially if #30 is thrown in as well. The Sixers could potentially solve all of their needs WITHOUT using any cap space in a deal like that. That deal gives the Sixers picks #7, #15, #30 plus 2nd rounders in this draft, plus Jefferson or Wright(neither as good, but adequate) to replace Iguodala. #7 can get you a low post guy in Sullinger or Drummond or a SF of the future in Barnes or Jones III. You can get a scorer at 15 in Rivers, Waiters, or Ross to replace Lou or a shot blocker in Henson. And at 30 an absolute sniper of a shooter I would love to snag in this draft is John Jenkins. Then 2 2nd rd picks to take some promising project guys(like Lavoy Allen) or international guys. Add all that to Jrue, Evan and Thad with still 15 or so mil left to work with assuming we amnesty Brand and Lou opts out and that is a team looking DAMN good for the future.

Yet you would settle a bigger Iguodala in Josh Smith. Aren't we already full of tweeners?
