Two other guys they like as PG...John Lucas(came away impressed with him after our series vs Bulls)...they also like Goran dragic alot but he is either going to start for Houston(if they deal lowry) or some other team presumably with how impressive he was in Lowry's absence last year. Not sure how he fits...unless they are making Jrue a SG.

I think the better fits are guys like Hinrich and Andre Miller personally.

What about a guy like Brandon Rush sixerfan1976?

He seems like they perfect SG to come off the bench (or start if Iguodala/Turner are moved).

He's a RFA, but depending on cost, it's assumed GS may not match an offer.

I'm going after Carmelo Anthony if I'm the sixers. Iguodala/Thad/ VUcevic and or 15th for Carmelo Anthony.

Brand gets a reconstructed contract more years less money 2 year with 3rd year option. Lou Williams and Hawes walk.
Lavoy Allen resigned 3 year deal 8mil. Sixers throw money at Hibbert/Lopez/ Javale McGee and Asik. Sign Jr Smith.

Asik/ Stiesma/ 2nd rd
Brand/Allen
Anthony/2nd rd pick defender
Turner/ Jr Smith
Jrue /Turner/ vet

Sixerfan,

With all of the Duke connections that Collins has I guess it is not surprise that we like Rivers. Do the sixers like Rivers as a starter along side Dru and ET? Offensively, I think they would compliment each other pretty well. However, I would have concerns how those 3 matchup defensively with Miami? Does ET guard Lebron with Rivers on Wade?

Personally, I'd be in favor of the GS deal, if that is a possibility, and then draft Jermey Lamb or Barnes at 7 and either Hensen or Melo at 15. Regardless of whether or not Brand is amnestied, I think this team really needs to add a shot blocker.

My only conern is Barnes is definitely a small forward which keeps Turner at the 2 guard which is where I would like to see him stay at...

I think i do that if Barnes slips but not sure if I do it for Lamb (but if barnes slips why wouldnt golden state just take him...Barnes has A LOT of potential)

Admittedly I haven't seen Rivers's game at Duke - nothing since his HS team was on a local channel in Orlando (and I had no idea who he was). He was money from outside, even with the opposing team playing him very physically. At the same time, he rarely displayed an inclination for taking it to the basket. Anyone know if that's improved?

I was assuming that Iguodala would be traded. If he is not then obviously Iguodala will be guarding Lebron.

If I was GS then I would rather have Barnes than Iguodala too. I guess from a sixers perspective you would want to do the trade prior to the draft without knowing who will be there in order to have a shot at Barnes. If they are comfortable settling for Lamb in the event Barnes is not available then I guess that would be the move.

Quick question: If someone put a gun to your head and forced you to take either Al Jefferson OR Emeka Okafor for Iggy in a trade which would you choose?
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

If I had to pick one, I would go with Jefferson. If New Orleans threw in the 10th pick I would take Okafor.

I'd ride it out with Al Jefferson all day but if New Orleans came off of the 10th pick then I would easily take Okafor. Why do you ask?

I was wrongly thinking you'd prefer Okafor's defense over Al's offense. Good to know.

Al Jeff. Sixers need a big that can SCORE and a guard that can SCORE. I want two guys out there who can put 20 points up and call it an average night.

Get a SG that can drop 20+ppg and a PF/C that can do the same. Put them next to Jrue/Iggy/Allen or Jrue/ET/Allen with Meeks, Thad, S. Young, Vuc, a vet PG and the 15th pick coming off the bench. That's my goal if I'm the GM.
