If we get Phil, I can see Fisher and Odom coming to Orlando too. Fish as a vet leader to help teach the triangle and Odom to play off the bench or start.

YES

We could even throw Vincent a bone and hire him as an assistant coach.

+1
I'm hoping Alex isn't dismissing the plan completely. If Phil has interest, then there's something we can build off of.

Martins would be dumb to not take a package with that much championship experience, hell if Phil sits court side during big games he could draw up a couple plays during the huddle too

So the Magic don't plan on hiring a GM until the middle of the month? With two weeks left to sprare for the draft? What a bunch of geniuses we have running the show.

Foyle will handle the Draft and the past trade deadline. They don't need a GM for this as Foyle has done well thus far handling player personal.

The Warriors are willing to trade picks for a veteran SF. Maybe we can throw them Turkoglu + cash consideration for their 1st round pick?

Fisher is better than all three of those at least. Even at his age.

Carlos was not a bad PG. He seems to be very underrated here. . . Am I the only one that remembers those great moments with him and Dooling? They were a great combo together.

Well, Warriors do need a backup PG with Curry's injury history. Being Otis Smith's history with Golden State and possible employment there someday, I bet we can make this happen.

Hedo and Duhon for Jefferson or Beidrins or something like that. Well, if Otis helps out, maybe we can get a 1st rounder for it also.

When asked about whether we bring over Phil would change Dwight's thoughts about staying this is what YBR said

Its what he's been trying to do for 2 years. The only problem he has now is he doesnt know how people of Orlando view him. He brought up "a new start" because of all the stuff that happened the last 2-3 months though. At the end of the day though, this is all he wanted...as well as some help on the court. He wanted to make Orlando a "championship city"

Get Jackson's ass over to Orlando already

That's always the kicker. GM's and coaches don't win games. Players do. And we don't have the means to go get them. Get Dwight a roster with decency and he'll stay.

Jackson has a lot of faith in Dwight or he wouldn't even be talking to us. I realize on the face of the rumors it looks like its all about money, but Jackson also has to believe Dwight will stay. I don't see a guy like Jackson coming here for a bunch of money just to ruin his legacy for a small market team without a franchise player. He has to believe we can win championships. Think Jackson knows he can get Dwight to stay.

This is a stupid question but I`ll make it. Is bringing Jerry Krause viable? I`m thinking in the lines of what Jerry West is doing for the Warriors as an adviser. The guy is 73 years old and I don`t know his health, but he can bring the championship experience in a role with not many responsibilities. We will obviously hire a younger GM.

Pretty sure that's why we're getting Phil-- To put a better team around Dwight.
