Motiejunas will work on buyout this weekend in Treviso. National team role uncertain, but sounds like he'll be w Rockets summer tm instead.

Sucks I wanted to see him and Jonas running the floor. Just saw a new highlights from Polish finals. He runs floor special for 7'1'' guy.

Motiejunas has made a lot of progress. He's an underrated 20 pick imo

The guy is taller and quicker than Jonas... impressive

Yeah I believe he could be steal of that draft. Few years ago DX considered him 3 top pick but then everybody started to question his defense, passion for game, rebounding. National team coach said he was hardest guy working in camp last year and after everybody questioned his rebounding abilities he came out and lead Euroleague in that category. I see his game suited more for NBA than Europe. He likes to run floor and spreads the floor, with his quick first step and being over 240 lbs 7'1'' 37 vert he be will mistmatch every night. Though he needs guy like Casey to give him kick in the ass on defensive end for guy such a high and fast there are no excuses not to become decent defender.

Crazy how fast he runs 0:50

Looks like a poor mans version of Bargs. He has most of Bargs skills except he can't breakdown his man. Looks like he'll be a solid Ryan Anderson type of player. Solid starter stretch 4 though.

Ryan Anderson cant move like that. Donut is also 3 inch taller than him and probably is quickest and most smooth 7 footer out there. On the other hand, Motiejunas is not that good of a 3 point shooter Anderson is. Everyone still believes hes a shooter, but hes not.

By breakdown you mean take guy off the dribble? He han do it.He has quick first step and lateral speak not to mention good dribbling skills for big...Bargnani could only dream to have Motiejunas low post skills and he is better rebounder. Donut could be legit C if he decide to gain weight play in post aka Pau Gasol. He is inside- outside player now. Ryan comparision is poor he doesnt have post skills, quickness, speed, athletism, feet work or create in iso for himself as Donut.

Forget that Bargs and DM comparison. That's bull. Bargs never had and never will have a post games as DM and DM never shoot like Bargs. Also Motiejunas is better rebounder, he can go after the ball really well when he wants. Also DM might transit to a world classs PASSER. That's a hell of a skill in him and Bargs barely has it right? The only similarity - both are kinda soft and not the best defenders, but Motiejunas has completely different motor, intensity, quickness and skillset. The only and the huge advantage of Bargs is his perfect shooting from distance.

Motiejunas knows how to pass the ball like a point guard.

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

Not much. I think there will be a friendly (sort of training) game any day now against Lithuanian U-20.

Preparation games:

July 16 vs Macedonia
July 17 vs Greece
July 23 vs Great Britain
July 27 vs Russia
July 29 vs Great Britain

You mean starting lineup? Kemzura said it can either Jonas or Javtokas. Depends on the matchup probably.

As for the official games, I would start with very intense and fast lineup:

Valančiūnas
Kleiza
Mačiulis
Pocius
Kalnietis

Jasikevičius and Kaukėnas should come off the bench, IMO. On other hand, Valančiūnas is best playing along with Šaras so he might be coming off the bench usually while I'm not seeing Kemzura pushing Šaras in the starting line-up.

Lithuania lost Seibutis - injured. Motiejunas will be in NBA summer camp...

Is Seibutis permanently done for the summer? I heard he broke his cheek bone or something... does that mean he can't play with a facemask or something?

I prefer Kaukenas in the starting lineup. I like Jasaitis and Pocius to come off the bench. Also, I think Jonas would be more productive to come off the bench as well. I don't want him to get in early foul trouble and he was a great offensive catalyst last summer when coming off the bench. Plus in the Euro game the starting lineup doesn't consist of the best players. Javtokas experience is also helpful. And yes, Jonas is a lot more efficient with Jasikevicius.

Seibutis is out of qualification tournament. He might be available for Olympics if Lithuania will qualify, but it's a question if Kemzura (head coach) would cut any guard that will helpt to qualify.

Well, Kaukėnas is our best SG if he's in shape, but he's playing after serious injury. I would like Pocius in the starting lineup because he's the most athletic and intense SG and improved in defence playing for madrid Real. I have no doubt Lithuania's main weapon should be quickness, athleticism and intensity in this tournament (the same as in WC 2010) and the best effort at defence. The main difference between 2010 team and 2012 - now we have a beast at center position and Jasikevičius' pick and rolls.

BTW, I expect a good tournament from Kalnietis. He looked great in Lithuanian league finals and he's much better passer now.

Concerning our leader Linas Kleiza, there were reports he improved his physical condition working with individual coach and that's what he really needed after the season while with raptors he was lacking time for individual preparation, trainings. In other words, I expect to see at least a little bit more athletic version of Kleiza in the NT.

Seibutis is out for about 4 weeks so if Lithuania makes Olympics he should be able to play.
My lineup would be something like this:
Javtokas / Valanciunas
Kleiza / Jankunas
Maciulis / Jasaitis
Kaukenas / Pocius
Kalnietis / Jasikevicius
I like Valanciunas from the bench because he is way more efficient with Jasikevicius and will get more opportunities on offence .

Man, I hope Seibutis is ok, i also heard about his injury, but had no updates. Thats why you should call Euroleague champion to your camp at least! Geez, what happens if some other guard gets injured? Lithuanian coach made some questionable decision this time.

Gecevicius sucks get over him. Lith team doesnt need another player who cant defend and mentally weak. I rather have 3th guard in Dulkys who atleast is good defender than Gecevicius who doesnt show anything unless he plays over 20 minutes per game and problem is he isnt good enought to get that much minutes on this team.
