Dan Savage @Dan_Savage
The @NBA has approved an amendment to @JameerNelson's contract, delaying the potential opt out date from June 15 to June 29.

we could have ~$14-17 mil depending on the sources for contracts. We could go after DWill... If we could package a few picks with hedo, we could have a Dwight/DWill/JSmith core after next summer.arkknight1988 wrote:where is our capspace expert? what do we look like without nelson wafer clark jj anderson ish orton and jrich?

Nelson and his agent, Steve Mountain, asked the Magic for a deadline extension because the team has not yet hired a general manager to replace Otis Smith. Nelson and Mountain want to learn what the eventual hire's plans are for Nelson and for the rest of the team.

Jameer wanted an extension because he & his agent want to speak w/new GM before he makes a choice.

The team didn't have to agree to this. But it seems like the #Magic showed him some loyalty after the GM search dragged on.

Can it give us that right? I was under the impression that a player can't be traded after the trade deadline of the year that he can opt out of a deal.

With Hedo, Q, and Duhon coming off the books the following season.

Take it for what it's worth, but DJChino (102Jamz) who loosely knows a lot of the guys, told me that Jameer packed up his stuff and moved his cars out 3 weeks ago.
