Would you rather consider a deal around

Dwight/Hedo/Doodie for Batum/6th/11th

or

Dwight/hedo/JRich for KMart/Dalembert/Parsons/14th/16th

i'm thinking Houston but it would be nice if we could get Drummond and Lilliard or Marshall with Por. picks

Dwight wants to stay and win here but our organization needs to show we're headed to contending for numerous years. He's ours to lose and just have to get the right vision, leaders, & players.

I think Sam Amick said a decision will come next week.

Those trades are so bad, they are almost laughable for the Magic.

And, people still believe no name sources to the contrary. Just shows how shallow people are.

If Dwight said to management before the draft that he is leaving no matter what either one of these deals are better than letting him walk for free as it removes Hedo and either Doodie or Jrich and brings us 2 lottery picks this year.

Magic could still do much better than any of those deals. We are talking about a Superstar here, not Roy Hibbert or Iggy. Those look like good deals for the Philly or Indiana.

To whoever asked if we'd bring in Crawford, I say yes.

Tough choice. While I still think we should roll the dice on Dwight, between those 2 deals, I'd hesitantly go with the HOU deal, but I'd want to move KMart and maybe Dalembert to another team for some veteran players. Parsons/14th/16th is what I'd really be interested in. Maybe if you subbed Kyle Lowry in there for KMart I'd be more interested.

To be honest, I have a hard time seeing any team trying to rent Dwight. As fickle as he is, it's too risky for a team like HOU or POR who could really kill their future. The Nets are a prime example if they lose D-Will.

I also have a hard time seeing Dwight essentially "agreeing" to be dealt to a team like HOU or POR as opposed to just signing an extension in ORL. He'd have to really hate the franchise of ORL to put himself thru a year's worth of mediocrity in HOU or POR. He really loves ORL and I don't see him relinquishing all of that to be rented.

Well technically lindsey and hannigan are already familiar with this years draft picks since they are involved in that process with their respective teams.

Interesting comment, considering how much SAS makes us out to be the most dysfunctional, inept, clueless franchise in the NBA so often. Apparently we're a half step above Charlotte now.

Both would be pretty good especially the picks in portlands with this deep of a draft but id want something from houston like lowry, dalembert, clee, parsons and the 14th and if they would throw in the 16th also for dwight and duhon. they will need to move lowry soon cause hes already said he doesnt like kevin mchale also lowry said he doesnt want to split time with dragic. then you get clee back and a young hometown talent in parsons and a servicable big man in dalembert and then you can draft a young stud at 14 and 16 and 19 or you could probably package all them to get further into the lottery.

That's a tough choice but I think I would do the Portland one. We get two really high draft picks and Nicolas Batum (He'd need to be a S&T though). The Rockets deal doesn't give us that great of a deal. A declining and injury prone SG, a decent C, an overrated SF, and two decent picks. At least the Portland deal gives us two lottery picks and Batum. Also, I think J-Rich is more moveable then Duhon.

Houston is interested in a rent to own, but thier plan would require having cap room to sign Deron Williams, so taking back bad contracts is hard to do. I think they would offer:

Lowry/Dalembert/14/16/Marcus Morris

For just Dwight? No. They'd have to take at least Turkoglu and maybe Duhon too.

Wouldn't be too angry if things turned out this way......
POB: Dennis Lindsay
GM: Jeff Bower
HC: Mike Malone

Somehow acquire Jamal Crawford....Draft a SF in the first round.....PG in the second....Try to trade away or get rid of J-rich/Baby.....Try to retain Anderson.....Acquire T-Mac(dead serious)....Let jameer opt out......not quite sure how all that would work but we would be looking like......

PG: Crawford/Machado
SG: Mcgrady/Redick/Liggins
SF: Hedo/Quincy Miller/Liggins
PF: Anderson/Harper/Clark
C: Dwight/Clark

not the best scenario but me personally i would be content with that....

If the Magic think Jamal Crawford is the answer, then they will lose Dwight for sure. He couldn't even beat out Felton for the starting position in Portland. And, Felton is worse than Meer.

Signing Crawford to be a starter would spell disaster as this dude is not worth more than $4-5 million per and he is seeking way more than that.
