That would be weird. I'd prefer to let the new GM handle the coach search. Whether he gets Shaw, Malone, or McMillan should be completely up to him.

it would be weird but coaches are starting to fall off the board and we're here just starting to interview the finalists for GM.....then whoever gets hired has to interview and hire their staff....then after that's done then start to look for and interview coaches......it might take some time if it goes like i think

I thought Alex asked the possible GMs what coach they wanted so Alex couldn't at least get a list together of possibilities. I don't think at this point there are more than 3 coach candidates, one for each GM candidate, unless they favorehe same Guy and we could be down to just Shaw and Malone.

He will most likely decide after he talks to the GM. That's why they gave him until the 29th. On the other hand, if we trade for a PG on draft day, we should know that he's not staying.

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
In an interview with HBO's Real Sports, Phil Jackson said Scottie Pippen reached out to him about a position in Orlando

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
This was part of Sam Vincent's attempt and didn't come from the #Magic. PJax said he'd call back Pippen.

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
Phil Jackson said he told Pippen he had no interest in the #Magic. Jackson told Real Sports he wanted to stay out West.

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
Jackson: "I'm really attached to living here in the West. Orlando's a long ways away. It's -- it's the other side of the country."

I'm really disappointed that we're taking this long to find a GM, I hope it turns out to be best.

Has Stan been rumored for any potential hirings with other teams? I haven't heard anything about him since the firing.

I think Stan is going to take the year off and then come back to coaching next season.

If they haven't made a gm decision yet, maybe they know Dwight wants to stay and aren't in a rush to make a draft night trade? but we are the Magic so yea.

If Dwight gets traded, I don't think it's until just before training camp. We got to see what D-Will does in Brooklyn on July 1st.

I really hope he goes to Dallas, and Wallace goes somewhere else as well. I want that Russian's gamble to blow up in his face!
