Mark Reynolds > ALL..not so much anymore

Post#1 » by Black Jesus 1 » Sat May 26, 2007 4:02 am

Stud.

He's the call-up for that piece of trash Chad Tracy who was placed on the DL and Reynolds is basically sending Tracy out of here.

.444 | 2 | 10 RBI's
in 10 games.

He's been AMAZING

4-4 tonight.

Thanks, Trixx is a genious.

So... since the luster around Chad Tracy is gone, think the A's could nab him? I've always liked him.

He's pretty damn good too. He batted .375 in the minors with 10 homers and 25 rbi's and in his first major league game last night against maddux he was 1-3 with 2 rbi's and a double. This guy is a stud. As for this guy from Arizona, I'm going to pick him up in my fantasy league.

So many inaccurate statements in this post.

1. He hit .342
2. He had 22 RBI's
3. He was 1-4 last night

Okay, maybe I was off a tiny bit but it doesn't change the fact that Ryan Braun is awesome.

LMAO at Tracy's .902 OPS being called trash. He's got an OBP% a tick under .400, so I hope other D-Backs fans aren't bitching about his lack of home runs like you seem to be.

He began to pick it up before he got injured. He's waaay too inconsistent, K machine, the worst clutch player around, and plays mediocre D.

Trust me, that 902 OPS will be dropping alot when he comes back.

He's never hit below .240 in a month and has been around. That's not bad.

Black Jesus 1 wrote:K machine.

Not really. He had 129 K's in 597 AB's last year which isn't horrible and he only had 138 in 984 total AB's in 2004 and 2005.

In his career with RISP he's hit .272/.346/.469/.815/18 HR/168 RBI/46 BB/48 K

I see no reason why his OPS would drop. He's had excellent plate discipline, and some of those doubles will turn into home runs eventually. He's in his age-27 season, so I'm not surprised at all that he's having a great season at the plate.
I really don't see someone who's hitting .311 with and OBP% of almost .400 as inconsistent. He only has 19 Ks in over 100 at-bats this season, so how exactly is he a strikeout machine? He almost has as many walks as strikeouts for Pete's sake. He was cold at the beginning of April, but he's been a monster since.
Is the general consensus in Arizona that's he sucking? Because if so you're seriously underappreciating a very valuable player here.

He tries to pull the ball alot, if he'd quit being a puss and drive it the other way he'd be batting 300-310. I'm aware he's a good hitter, he's just dumb when it comes to the basics.

You'd have to watch him to see..it's a joke.

Who I really should be trashing is Conor Jackson. Now he sucks.
He'll pick it up, I hope.

.254 | 2 | 9 |

He's got a good eye though, really good.

Also, Tracy is terrible facing LHP.
.230 BA, .231 OBP

...he's hitting .311...
You see a guy who is dumb when it comes to the basics, I see a guy with a .397 OBP% who, when healthy, can make a case for himself as the third best third baseman in the NL at this point in the season; whatever he's doing, dumb-looking or not, is apparently working. Has he always had a platoon split, though? If not, his struggles with lefties are probably just a case of small sample size.
I do somewhat agree on Jackson, however. He's never really shown enough power despite his killer batting eye to be considered a great 1B option. If his power progresses than that changes everything, but it hasn't.

For what it's worth Tracy does have a .743 PrOPS, so he has been quite lucky. I don't think he's .743 OPS bad, but I don't think he'll regain 2005 form.
