Jonas Gustavsson Appreciation Thread

Gone to Wpg for a conditional 7th rounder in 2013.

Personally, I really liked the MONSTER - which puts me in the solid minority. I always thought he should have been given the ball to run with. But the brass chose Reimer and Jonas gets another shot in Wpg. I betcha he thrives.

Good luck, kid.

Unreliable is probably the best way to describe him. He's got the physical talent to play goalie in the NHL. But, mentally he's far off. I don't think he will ever drastically change. Wish he went in division so we could pepper him for 5-6 goals regularly.

Chris Mason was Wpg's backup goalie last year. solid for a back up.
the Monster is a nice choice to replace him. you also wonder if this is in response to Pavelec's recent negotiations/threats

Leafs tried to turn him into a butterfly-style goaltender (mostly 'cause of injuries) and I think that really rocked his confidence/game. Between him and Reimer, its a tough choice but 1 had to go anyway so be it. I wish him well in Winnipeg
