Al Horford is an all star, a 26-year double double big man in his prime. Do you really think that Atlanta will move him just for a late lottery pick and a role player? Keep dreaming, he's the guy they will build around in the future.

Yea I totally agree - no way they ditch Horford, he is their future...J Smith however wants out, and I want him on the Suns

Could be waiting a long time - six years now

Yep. He's Stromile Swift. The physical tools and absolutely nothing else. Needed a specific environment to succeed. Might have had a chance if he had been able to stay on the Bulls...

Considering Horford is a PF you have a beast front line, that's what you do. No way that trade happens tho. Danny Ferry ain't that crazy.

Nope. Both Duhon and Q-Rich make $3 million or close to it for the next three years.

Suns don't want to commit that much to two older players...J-Rich can at least play but Duhon and Q-Rich suck.

Best deal from the Suns imo would be Warrick for J-Rich, Harper, and Wafer.

Actually Duhon and Q-Rich only have 2 years left on their deals. Next year and the one after.

Duhon has a kicker in the last year of his deal that if we waive him, he only counts $1.5M against the cap. Q-Rich has a Player option in the last year of his deal too, which he may or may not pick up.

Wafer was waived.

Sister just called.

Said ESPN was "tweeting" that Nash + Gortat + 13 were going to NYK for Carmelo.

WTF?

Neither could I. How does someone fake that? It's getting retweeted - I don't get it.

I saw that trade mentioned in the general discussion board earlier...but it was quickly deemed fake and thread locked.

That trade couldn't happen until July 11th. There is no way we could even discuss this trade until July 1st.

After all that, it is way too much to give up for Melo. As we have seen, Melo isn't a guy to build around.

Lol at Houston, this might get ot of control. Give away a productive center for three below-average players? If they can't trade for Dwight, what will they do? Trade for Gasol?
