Peter Vecsey: Memphis, by the way, says a source, is offering Zach Randolph, another solid citizen, for Pau. Rudy Gay, as of now, is not available. via Twitter

Celtics have 3 draft picks. we have 1.

I still stand by what I said. 3 picks in a weak draft won't put them in the playoffs.

Terrible. Tristan Thompson isn`t big enough upgrade over Markieff Morris, imo.

We can do much better that that if our FO decide to trade Gortat.

That may be the worst Gortat trade I have ever seen and trust me, I have seen some pretty bad ones over at the trade board.

Tristian Thompson isn't even good enough to hold Morris' jock yet you wanna trade Gortat and Frye for him?

Frye by himself has more trade value than that let alone Marcin Gortat.

I just figure we can dump Frye who has been lousy and his bad contract for a decent player with potential. Tristan is much better than Frye. The trade has nothing to do with Markieff so I dont know why you bring him up.

Tristan > Frye

To smooth over the deal we offer Gortat and pick up two more draft picks on the way.

This trade works out for both teams.

And you are severely overrating Fryes value... :o

Gortat for two second round picks?! Are you crazy?

It's really funny most of you guys here complain about our front office but come up ridiculous trades where we give away our best players. Keep Gortat, Morris and Dudley as you core guys for the future. It's not like there 35 and near the end of their careers. You need something to build around even if it might only be three good role players. You simply don't trade the identity of your team, I'm sick and tired of all those Gortat deals.

Yea but Gortat isn't a filler...you do realize that don't you? He's by far the best player in that proposed trade.

And yea your right I was overrating Frye a lil bit.

What about Gortat #13 for Tyreke and #5. Rumors were Reke and #5 for Noah, and the Bulls later pick.....We provide more value, and can start a youth movement....

We have players getting paid HUGE sums of money over multiple years who DONT even play!

Childress 4 more years 6,000,000??!??!?!?!

Warrick 4,000,000 3 more years!?!??!

Frye 5,600,000 over 4 years?!!?!?!?

And with those guys haveing crazy contracts we are left with these guys on reasonable contracts:

telfair

Gortat

Dudley

Morris

Dude, calm down.

Childress has 3 years but can be amnestied still.
Warrick has 2 years but his last one is a team option, which won't be picked up so he's essentially an expiring.
Frye has 3 years at $6M, $6.4M, and $6.8M. It's not that terrible for a 6'11'' guy that averages 12 & 6 but can shoot between 38-43% from 3. He'll be an easy to move expiring in a couple years.
Dudley's salary is great.
Gortat's salary is great.
Morris is on his rookie deal.

Our biggest problem has nothing to do with salaries, it's the fact that we really need to nail some draft picks. Our weather is nice. Our facilities are nice. Our training staff is nice. But no one is going to come here without a legit star to play next to. I'd worry about that way before worrying about our salaries.

Nailed it - thank you

I would do this trade, but I've always been high on Evans. Obviously, Nash is gone at this point. You take Kidd-Gilchrest with #5.

PG - Dragic / Telfair
SG - Evans / Dudley
SF - Kidd Gilchrest / Childress
PF - Morris / Warrick
C - Lopez / Frye

Great young team - heckton of cap space - top 5 pick in 2013. Not bad. I do believe that Evans' RFA rights will be valuable. I don't think he gets crazy money.

I wouldn't be terribly unhappy. I'm probably higher on Wroten and Miller than most. I've read that Wroten has top 5 talent and is kind of similar to when Rondo came out...GREAT passer, horrible shooter and a little reckless. Miller obviously would be top 10 without ACL injury and with our training staff I think they could both REALLY be players in the future.

Add another star in next year's draft and whatever we could get for Gortat that could be an exciting young team.

They want a draft pick for him. #13 for Blair is way too high.

I would only make a trade with the Spurs if I felt like I wanted 75% of my fan base to kill themselves and the remaining 25% throw death threats at me.

Here are the amount of PFs on the Houston Rockets roster:

Scola, Motiejunas, Morris, Patterson, Jones, Leuer, Brockman, White

Is that some kind of record?
