If the Magic trade a guy tonight, it would probably be JRich and it may be to HOU.

Magical at it again, i wouldn't take it seriously

However, it is something to talk about.

With that said, that only means Dwight is also going along with him because why would HOU trade for just JRich after all the trades they've been doing lately? Or could HOU really want to stockpile picks? JRich & #19 for one of their assets? We get a pick in return?

Would Jrich and the 19 work for KMart???? He is a big expiring, maybe JJ/Jrich for Kmart and one of their 1sts?

Actually I would rather BBD/Jrich for Martin/1st take PJ3 and Marshall with the 1sts and clear a ton of long term salary

Why does every trade have to involve Dwight to some people. Isn't it possible to trade players without Dwight being involved. Maybe, the Magic want to improve the team around Dwight. That could be their intention and Dwight could be happy with these ideas. I think that is more true than Dwight to Houston under any scenario. Houston has their sights set on Drummond.

Well, if someone is looking to get back good assets and unload one or more of our bad contracts, D12 is our biggest (and nearly our only) trade piece.

Our other trade pieces would be (iirc) S&Ts for Anderson/JJ.

If you had to choose one, who would you rather trade: JJ or Davis?

Depends on what piece you are getting back. If a guard, or SF, then JJ....if a better PF, then Davis. Although I can't think of many better PFs on cheaper contracts that we could trade him for...I think either would need to be used as part of a package probably.

Depends on what you want to do with Ryno and what position(s) you're targeting in the first round.

Why would Houston want another one dimensional sg? They already have Martin, as well as lee, and could just draft Ross or lamb at 12... It makes no sense to me and it probably won't be happening tonight, at least not with Houston... Maybe jrich for Darko, maybe.

I'm excited to see pj3 is slipping, hopefully he slips to us :) that kind of thing would scare me if I'm picking in the lottery which we are not so it really doesn't scare me at 19

What if this team is just looking to unload contracts for the summer of 2013 when the team can truly surround Dwight with talent.

They hired a GM with the idea of building a team. That does not happen overnight. It would be more of a 3-4 year plan to be a contender even with superstars on the roster. It is not like the Clippers are going to win anything right away just because they got Chris Paul. It is about building a competitive team. And, that starts with at least one great talent, Dwight Howard. This team is going nowhere for many years without him. The Devos and this organization don't want to rebuild, but win soon. And, that doesn't involve a mediocre team.

Believe me. The Magic are trying to keep Howard and he is not going to Houston.

I agree - keeping D12 and rebuilding around him is the preferred way.

I was just explaining why people are including him in their trade scenarios. Plus some people prefer not to loose him for nothing (working under the assumption that he doesn't want to be here by the time contract signing time rolls around).

Dwight will resign before it is all said and done. He is not under pressure to sign now. He has earned the right to be patient and wait for the the Magic organization to do a better job of laying out the groundwork for a long term plan in building a contender that can last for years.

Dwight is doing nothing wrong as he has earned that right to be courted after serving his years in the league. Kobe did it. It is about putting pressure on your organization.

JRich for Martell Webster's expiring. Book it. Future pick, cash, rights to Fran may or may not be involved.

I've been calling for JRich/Darko swap since the trade deadline. Makes too much sense for it to not happen. Min gets a vet SG that'll play very well off of Rubio and on a good contract and we get a solid big man to play beside or behind Dwight. Darko also expires and lines up nicely with our 2013 goal. Give 'em Fran too; to make it sweet.

IF this is all we do tonight, I'd be very pleased.

I actually said that a few weeks ago, and I could see it happening. Id be happy because we could just cut Webster and save money immediately

David Baumann ‏@DavidBaumann33
#Magic F @iambigbaby11 doesn't want to get shipped anywhere. "If I get traded, I'll cry!" he said in out studio interview.

This guy really loves Orlando, didn't look like it the first few months he was here

Nothing is guaranteed with this. The question is do you put all your eggs in one basket? You've got to atleast have a backup plan in case that doesn't happen.

Does Webster have a non-guaranteed deal? Why would we just cut him?
