Morris = SF
Motiej = playing him as center
Leuer = playing him as center
Brockman = he's also a career center; won't make the team cut
All u got is Scola, Patt, and White.

C = Motiej, Leur, G.Smith
F = Scola, Patt, White

Trust me I know my rockets. That's what they gonna swing at the frontline

Barbosa & Dragic = trade with spurs.

Most definitely make a run at Blair. He's a force.

Does Denver even have enough roster spots for everyone? I know one of the three guys they drafted is going to stay overseas, but I didn't think they had enough roster spots for two more guys. It would be nice if we could trade for Quincy Miller. But even if they don't want to trade him, they might be willing to trade someone for very little if they simply just have to clear roster spots.

How about this for blowing up and grabbing young talent? I like Gortat but really no point in holding onto him. Lets start the rebuild.

Marcin Gorat + Channing Frye for Jeremy Lamb+Royce White+Terrence Jones

Sign Grant hill+Redd to a 2 year deal

Sign Scott Machado

Then use FA to get a center.

Kendall Marshall/Scott Machado/Sebastian Telfair
Jermey Lamb/Michael Redd
Grant Hill/Jared Dudley/Terrence Jones/Josh Childress
Markieff Morris/Royce White/Hakim Warrick
FA/Robin Lopez

In two seasons our roster will have been completely flushed out and filled with new players

Kendall Marshall/Scott Machado
Jermey Lamb/Draft 2014
Jared Dudley/Terrence Jones
Markieff Morris/Royce White
FA 2012/Draft 2013

8-)

Paul Coro: Amid Nash & Marshall talk, here's a clarifiation on another #Suns point guard: Telfair's $1.6M salary for 2012-13 became guaranteed in May. via Twitter

So let me get this straight. Our FO say they want Nash back, then draft a PG. Meanwhile we have Telfair for another year, and also gave Brooks the Qualifying Offer. 4 PG's that we are involved with. At the least, 1 is gone (maybe 2). If we somehow keep Nash, then that means no Brooks. We cant even S&T Brooks, only thing we can do is match another teams offer, or let him walk. If the FO lets Brooks go, then that means that they admit to their mistake. It cost us a 2nd rounder to trade with San Antonio for Dragic, another pick as we traded him away, then a 3rd pick (Marshall) to make up for the trade. No good!

Its looking more like come opening day we will have Marshall/Telfair as our PG rotation.

QO makes sense, because they can always not match. If he ends up not getting an offer and gets the QO he is immediately a trade asset who is an expiring contract.

As for the trade being a mistake, it's kind of a wash...they are both restricted free agents now, so we'd be in the same situation with Dragic. One could argue Houston is actually in a worse scenario because Dragic is now suddenly going to be very expensive to keep.

You can't really blame our front office for Brooks signing in China days before the lockout ended. He could have been a stud off the bench. We will never know.

But both contracts (whether we had Dragic or Brooks) are ending at the same time, so we would have to re-up Dragic right now which we could have still really done if we want.

Of course in hindsight, keeping Dragic would have been nice for a couple of reasons, but hindsight is always 20/20.

Can someone tell me what happened to the Suns' former PA announcer because the one we have now sounds like a big goof

I think if we could have gotten #12 and #16 for Gortat during the draft we would have, let alone #12, #16 and #18. :-?

Nope. Dragic is unrestricted.

Well then we would be in a worse position having kept Dragic at this point.

With Millsap expiring this year and him likely not staying in Utah because of limited playing time....anyone think we can maybe send Frye to the Jazz for Millsap?

Millsap is a bit of a tweener but he plays bigger than his size (if you dont know what that means, Lopez does the opposite) and plays hard.

Wouldn't mind him if we can pull off a trade for him without giving up much.

I would LOVE Millsap here. Perfect team guy who plays hard on both ends.

Assuming Nash is gone, best case scenario for me would be

Warrick to UTA for Millsap (I think they'd be more receptive to a shorter, cap friendlier deal)
Amnesty Chill
Trade Frye to CLE for Gee
Sign (and get) Gordon for the max
Re-sign Brown, 2yr deal, $4m per
Re-sign Redd, Lopez and Brooks if 'cheap', I think Brooks will get an ok offer from somewhere, let him go if it's above the MLE
Sign Anthony Randolph to a 2-3 yr deal @ $4m per. Hope he figures it out here

Gortat / Lopez / Randolph
Millsap / Morris / Randolph
Dudley / Gee
EGordon / SBrown / Redd
Brooks / Marshall

That team isn't trash, but it would also struggle to make a dent/get anywhere in the playoffs...

I think I'd enjoy watching that team - seems like it could be a scrappy bunch who would play hard

Would have to include cash or a pick for the Millsap deal as well...I wouldn't give a 1st though unless it had loads of protection

I think Millsap can net more man. Maybe if we took on Devin Harris contract too....

Another guy I think that would be great for our team who is currently getting limited minutes is Wilson Chandler. I would trade a lottery protected 1st for him.

The guy would be the PERFECT SF to have on this team.

I think Suns should either go for broke or stay pay and clean house.

They saved up this cap space not just to re use it on doubtful players again. Heck they're even struggling to offer Nash a 3 year contract.

Picking up players like Milsap is 4 years too late... I think he would of done well off the bench when Stat was still a sun and the team had talent.
Adding him makes the Suns as good as Last years Jazz, a 9th or 10th seed team.

I would seriously put Gortat on the block and take best offer at trade deadline.

I'm hoping Blazers.... For Leonard, future pick and Matthews.
I'll add Dudley if they will remove any protection from the pick and another second rounder.

Of course if someone else can offer a higher pick for Dudley I'd do that instead.

Suns need legit chances to land a future star... I'm going Thunder way of rebuild... Heck even like Kings... Now they have Tyreke, Robinson and Cousins... They just need a coach to put them to work. If that 3 don't mesh they have advantage in trade scenarios because many teams wants those player.

Maybe not Millsap but I would deeply look into trading for Wilson Chandler.

They already have Al Harrington though so it doesn't really work for them.

Houston is talking about a S&T for Gordon. If Gordon chooses the Suns we should look at negotiating an S&T with NO so they won't match. It would have to include Gortat. Should we do that or just keep our fingers crossed?
