i'm just kind of curious where he does end up in all of this. he doesn't want to play for houston. he won't come back here. the nets have nothing to trade and now won't have cap space to sign him outright. where does he end up? dallas? thats the only other place i can think of.

I don't think you get it. Howard doesn't care about winning. He only cares about getting to New Jersey. He doesn't even care if Williams stays. He just wants to be in New York. We could sign Lebron and Kobe tomorrow and Howard would still want a trade to Brooklyn.

Re: OFFICIAL DWIGHT HOWARD TRADE / SPECULATION / THOUGHT THR
Bulls trade could work
Orl trades: D12, JRich, Duhon
Chicago trades: Noah, Korver, Rip, Brewer, Watson, Draft rights to Teague and Mirotic, 13 1st, Char 1st
Orlando
Watson/Teague
Redick/Rip/Korver
Turk/Brewer/Q
BBD/Nicholson
Noah/O'Quinn
Why: Chicago can send a starting center in Noah. We would have lots of Cap options with Watson, Korver, Brewer and Redick all non-guaranteed. A young Point on a cheap rookie deal in Teauge. Mirotic is a very good player that will probably come over and draft picks will help add value.
A group of D12/Boozer/Deng/Richardson can keep the bulls at the top of the east til Rose comes back.

In my opinon, Howard needs to be traded...that being said, I could care less about where he wants to go, I just want the best return possible. If Houston has the best package, then he's Houston bound....if The Lakers have the best package he's LA bound..etc...
I'm not sure if anybody has mentioned this yet but what if Dwight is not at 100% from his back injury/surgery. Let's say he never becomes his former self...like Larry Johnson back in the day...just some food for thought. Might be best to trade him not rather than keep him and show everybody he is an injured player.

It'll nice once he's traded cause then we can get back to focusing on the great new direction of our team. Are we gonna suck? Hell yeah. Will it be tough to watch the team lose? Definitely. But at least we'll have a team of guys who want to be here, capspace, and a bright future. And NO Dwight drama.
I doubt we'll get another Dwight and we will lose out on our best chance to win a championship by trading him, but ORL has had superstars before Dwight and I'm sure there will be others.

We'd be in purgatory.
That team is a capped out, 6th seed, first round exit to the Heat or, ironically, the Bulls.
I'd have to pass. I don't think the Bulls make good trading partners for Dwight.

I want to get rid of Duhon and Hedo most of all and get CAPSPACE above all else. A young player and draft picks would be nice, but I really don't want a purgatory deal like the above Bulls trade.

The trade brings us 15 mil in non gauranteed deals to add to Redick giving Henny lots of options for this year and moving foward. I dont think they would make the playoffs and Noah can be traded for a top pick in the next draft he is locked up.

Exactly which is why I say trade him to Houston for their young talent and picks. MOve Hedo, Duhon and JRich as well. This will give the Magic a nice reboot and tons of cap space for the 2013 FA crop.

I love the capspace but I think Henny wants to build his team through the draft. At most we would probably try for 1 star in a FA class and if we blow things up this year I dont think we spend the money right away next summer.

For the last time i'm gonna say it. Trade Howard for the Houston package. WE DO NOT NEED TO BE STUCK IN MEDIOCRITY. WE HAVE TO REBUILD AND NOT RELOAD. No to Lakers offers and such. Put out the following lineup
Lowry
Martin/Lamb
White
Jones/Nicholson
Baby/O'Quinn
Maybe flip JJ or Baby for an average Center while you're at it.
Lose 60 games for all i care. Every great team passes through a bad season, except the league darlings like the Lakers that have everything handed to them. Then draft some beast like Zeller/Noel/Shabbazz in next year's draft, and let the team develop correctly ! This is how you build a dynasty, every one of these rookies have potential. Lamb is a great prospect, we all watched Jones with Kentucky and i have great faith in White, plus Lowry might have the best contract in the league. K-Mart is a huge expiring. I don't think we will attract grade-A free agents, but get role player THAT FIT THE CORRECT CULTURE. No more Duhons/J-Richs/Hedos. Enough with that. No more plugging the holes on a sinking ship. BLOW IT UP AND START OVER. That is how you will win.
This is just a look into the future and we never know how things can change, but we could possibly roll out this lineup in 2013 :
Lowry/Maynor
Lamb/Tony Allen
White/Al-Farouq Aminu
Jones/Nicholson
Noel/O'Quinn
Give this team the chance to develop while adding another top 10 pick along the way, and you will see how we would become a contender for many many years, most importantly with players that WANT to be here, that FIT THE CULTURE. I've had enough with babies like Howard man, he's my favorite player, but this is inexcusable.
