Horford is 3rd best player on a winning team. Is that worth 12 mil? Maybe. If he puts up 15/10 he's going to be similar to Lopez in points and better in rebounding for what will probably end up being less money. But we're getting better numbers out of Ryan for less money already.

Horford, Harris, Zaza, Jenkins, 1st (26.5 mil) for Dwight, Hedo or for Dwight, J-Rich, Duhon

If salary dumping was sole goal, that'd be a good dump. I have no idea what trades are actually out there, but I'd say something like this is there on the table for us right now if that's where we want to go. With Dwight's friends there, maybe they feel confident they can resign him. Maybe they don't care.

Honestly I think Rob's game plan is to sit pat and wait till 2013 and sell Dwight then on getting him another star and some nice pieces. If not then he can do what he has been doing throughout his career and build through the draft.

Dwight Howard situatuin simply destroys team chemistry during the season - there is no way we go over that again next year, the issue has to be resolved during summer.
I love Rod altitude towards high character players with team mentality, Horford fits that description, he went to college in Florida so he should fit in just fine, I would take him over Brook Lopez for sure.
Also I would prefer us to get Teague not Harris.
