That's not how an employer-employee relationship works.

i think Dwight is well within his rights to demand changes on this team, i think he's well within his rights to advise us that he's unhappy and doesn't plan to re-sign with us once his deal is up, but he's got no rights to dictate where we trade him if we want to trade him. i'm sick of players bullying teams into getting to play where they want.

If they are the only serious bidder, you wait. No one should negotiate with only one buyer, you're bound to get a crappy deal.
I say we wait until all the dust settles and then some contender will look around and see that they need to make a move and by then you can figure out a better deal than this Nets crapola.
Never make a deal out of desperation
Here's my thing with that plan. What contender can give us assets we want without making them less of a contender?
Well, since Dwight is the 2nd most valuable player in the league? Many of them.
But my first choice is the Clippers once they get a new GM. I think it is very likely we could swing a Dwight/BBD/Duhon for Griffin/Jordan/Bledsoe type deal and the Clippers are more poised to compete due to Dwight's game-changing defense.

where better than OKC? surely, OKC have to be feeling a bit nervous now that LA have retooled? are they confident that if they met the Heat again that they could make the adjustments to keep them out of the paint?
Perkins + Harden for Dwight gives them the perfect final piece to lockdown the paint. gives them a go to scorer in the paint. and gives Dwight the perfect 'team' environment to rebuild his image.

so the team gets the anti-Lopez? 4 ppg, 4 rpg at $25 mil over the next 3 years?
And Harden is a good player to me, but not a star. maybe he becomes one, he seems to lack athleticism.
