gravity and force are a biyach, bynum is 7'1 and weights 300 pounds, thats a lot of stress on the knees/feet

This. I think he wore us all down.

yeah, the fanbase is so mindf***ed that we almost are begging the Lakers to take him. imagine that.

Lol, remember almost a year ago when we laughed at this offer? Said "I'd rather play out the season and risk him walking than trade him for a guy who will spend more time in a suit than suiting up!"

Now I can't even bear the thought of going through another season like last.........I don't think any of us, at the time, realized just how bad things could possibly spiral out of control.

It's time to put an end to this.

notice they arent the same Exact Injury.

No, they just all have to do with his knees...

Dude, he could very well have an injury free career from here on. At some point, I myself wanted to take Bynum if we had to trade Dwight. But you are not going to be taken very seriously if you refuse to acknowledge that his injuries are a very serious concern when you are planning to build a team around the guy.

they are a concern which is why id make him play out atleast half the season depending if he stays healthy a contract extension. worse case some team will work a sign and trade with us for him.

I'm just going to disagree and leave it at this. There's very little point to trading Dwight without it being set that the player(s) brought in aren't going to stay here long-term. Might as well keep him in that case. That is all.

Honestly, I'd prefer to keep Howard and risk him walking. But, last season was just horrid to deal with as a fan.

Trainers learned that Bynum underwent his first knee operation when he was 12 and were concerned about his Q angle—the relationship between his pelvis, leg and foot. According to head athletic trainer Gary Vitti, a wide Q angle can affect the way the kneecap glides along the thigh bone and can also cause increased foot pronation, both common sources of injuries. "Andrew is challenged in terms of his skeleton," Vitti says. "But we can work with those issues to some degree. What you can't do is take someone with a normal Q angle and make him 7 feet, 285 pounds."

Bynum, the Lakers' center, is recovering from knee surgery, but the bigger story is that he needed to prepare for knee surgery. He did this by attending the World Cup in July, then scheduling the surgery for when he returned.
Bynum told ESPN that the surgery turned out to be a bigger deal than he expected. But come on: Bynum should always assume his health is worse than he thinks. In the last three seasons, he has played 35, 50 and 65 games. When he orders dinner he should expect to get food poisoning, and when he crosses the street he should expect to break a toe. He has had that kind of injury luck. It would not have surprised me if doctors looked inside his knee and determined he had a separated shoulder

I see comments like this all that time here, and I cannot help but think, "suck it up you pansies." This notion of "not being able to bear another season like last year"... good grief. This is how you play in Today's NBA. If Hennigan deams that the best option is to hold onto Dwight, then I guess you guys are just going to have to cry yourselves to sleep til next summer. This is not just going to you. It's a general frustration when I see posters tremble at the thought of holding onto Dwight this season.

This move is going to choose a path that's going to set us up for the next decade or so. If patience is what it takes to get the best deal we can, then Hennigan better be patient and not just get something done to get it over with. Suck it up.

"Aaron Gordon will cost Henny's job by Dec 2016." Predicted Dec 2014.

"O'Quinn will have a longer and more successful NBA career than Nicholson." Predicted Jun 2012. Verified on Dec 2014.

negative. hes not under contract for 2013 so its to be determined wat he will get. Letting redick go might not be a bad thing cuz hes an expiring contract and we could probably get a 1st from someone for him.

wait till after the season starts to start complaining about the cap

You are preaching to the chior. I am on record as wanting to keep Dwight, not for his sake but the fact that the deals are not good. SInce the Magic FO is on record as saying they will not go into another season with him, then we are supporting what THEY have decided since we have no control over it. No need to tell anyone to suck it up since we are accepting something that is not our choice. I would be ecstatic if we waited, since that option is not available then that is what all those quotes were about. Everyone is sick of Howard, but MAINLY the FO and that's why he is about to be gone. You are the one who will have to suck it up.
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.

He's getting the max, no question. If we keep him our cap will be 51 million there's no reason to wait.
