Exactly. Guy is weak mentally. Coaching staff must be harsh, but they need to encourage young players too.

If you would get calls like that second foul call (awful one) you would be scared too since it feels that whenever you touch you get a foul. For a guy who likes physical basketball its a true hell.

Still Val looked bad on court but refs are not helping too.

I don't want to make a negative comparison, but isn't that similar to what happened to Biedrins? For different reasons of course.

i wouldn't say it's bad refs, it's just the way the players are dictating the game.

The kid just needs an injection of Casey.

I am starting to think the best thing for him might be to come over now.

I dont know about that, but you know, mental factor can kill any talent. Thats how simple it is. When everything goes right for Val, he looks great, but here we get a slow start, big pressure and everything went downhill. I think he has a lot of paranoid thoughts every time he is on the floor. 2 more qarters to go in this one, hope he leaves everything whats bad behind, we'll see.

I think he needs several injections.

These kind of problems are gonna take awhile to fully sort out if Amir is any indication.

I'm not concerned. He's proven to be pretty tough mentally. It's just been a very long season (80 games) following two summer tournaments last year and straight into training with the national team again this summer. He hasn't had an extended break from basketball for a LONG time and I think it started to catch up to him in his last month for Rytas and has carried into his summer play.

Nope. They'd need to win a semi-final too. Or if you lose the semi-final you can still get in by winning the 3rd place final.

All 13 minutes of him?

Yeah, I suppose if undersized, no offense, and mediocre defense kind-of-centers are your thing.

Kanter is still more NBA ready than Val, he has a body of a 30 year old.
