Sounds like the booze is talkin' 8-) Lol.

Just find it odd that Doc or Danny called Ray at the deadline and said "you're traded", only to find out that he wasn't.

TBh I have no clue why it fell through, I don't think it was mentioned by wojo, just that it was much closer than the pierce deal.

This is an absolute slap in the face, we gave him everything he wanted and he left.. He betrayed Pierce and KG and the whole Celtics Nation! I wish Ray a great personal life, but not professional... As far as basketball is concerned, he's DEAD to me! DEAD! He's not a Celtic, he's a mercenary, guess he never loved the team or the crowd/city.. Beating the Heat this year would just be such an awesome feeling.. Can't wait!

Also, honesty the best idea I saw on here was not even beat them. It was I hope they trade him to a crap team. Cause that would be so much better IMO.

Wasn't it Memphis' owner who nipped it at the last minute?

I think at the end of the day, I agree with C's champs, cause the GM who reportedly said:"**** Ainge, I'm not dealing with him", is probably Grizz's GM!

Hopefully this just add's fuel to KG, Rondo, Doc and Pierce's fire to take out Miami in the playoffs next season. Karma will comeback and haunt Ray.

What's going to be annoying is that Ray will get much better looks on the Heat ( a team without an uber PG) because of their scoring abilities. And we will have to listen to how great he is..

We should have traded him while we had the chance..

Yup, at least we would have Mayo for 1 more year.. That's Ray's thank you to Danny, signing with the Heat!

Bulls fan here and this is just disgusting and disturbing. **** Ray. You just don't sign with Miami if you were a Celtic... specially if you wont a title there. Traitor scum.

I used to have the biggest respect for Ray and just one of those guys I could never wish bad upon but all of that has gone down the drain.

What comes to mind: "I loved you, Ray! You were my brother!"...(see what I did)

That's love and loyalty.. Danny didn't trade him and that's the thanks he got!

**** this piece of crap! He joined the Heat for 3x less than what he wanted to stay with us, this guy was never a Celtic..

At 37 he's gonna be a Reggie Miller assassin off the bench but he'll be a liability on D.....he'd have helped us a lot as we are currently constructed and he'll do the same for Miami. It will only be good for Miami.

Personal note to Ray....you were my binky, you were overplayed here but how could you leave us after the no-trade clause? You're not going to get younger going to Miami and Wade and LeQueen aren't going to run plays for you. Bad Move for you and your beloved stats. Duh.

Ray allen is dead to me, f stickying this crap like he's now not as hated as ledouche himself. I threw up in my mouth thinking he actually broke an nba record while on our team.

I'll never consider him as being a real celitc, this is like bird signing for vet min to play for the lakers. Could u imagine that those of u who grew up in the 80's? Today's fans are ok with enough to put up an appreciation thread. OMG.

Still wish you were a Mod.

I will never forget Ray's drive against Sasha Vujacic in game 6 in 2008, we cleared the floor for him, Ray faked and drove and Sasha (after picking up his shorts) went to the bench and cried.

My favorite play ever, except for Ray's baseline drives with the impossible 4 ball changes off the dribble, oh yes, the dagger 3's.....

Ray is such a little girl for not retiring here. (Not meaning to put down little girls in any way.)

we respect your opinions UGa and the contributions ray did for us/team but this loser does not deserve appreciation thread. If he went to the lakers, do we have to put an appreciation thread too.He slapped and spat on paul pierce,KG and us fans in the face.Even his comments privately that he believes that we would not hold him or be mad at him if left.Guess again ray.we will.

That was Game 4. The huge comeback win in LA.

EDIT: I still can't believe Ray Allen went to Miami. Still shocked, not taking it well at all. Dude was a special player to me, up there with MJ and Larry. Now the bell can't be unrung. :(

Ray Allen appreciation thread?
Sure, thanks Ray for these wonderful 5 years...

... And I hope you rot in hell, you dirty, ring-chasing traitor. I hope you get booed out of the building so hard you take your OCD'd ass back to Florida and never come back.
