He wants to A) win B) be popular.
He'll have a really good team in Atlanta with him and JSmith + they'll have the cap space to add even more pieces in 2013 FA.
And i think the city of Atlanta would embrace a real charasmatic superstar after having the most dissapointing "superstar" guy in a Joe Johnson. Also his best friends play on the team! He's not gonna just leave them high and dry
I wouldn't be so sure about all this. I don't think hes shown any indication he wants to play for ATL even though it logically makes a lot of sense.

Ya but once he's there and he played full season where they go deep in the playoffs, its going to be harder for him to leave

I think they have a deal in place already, they just want to see what Nets/Magic deal is going up in flames. But Al will be in it.

How do the Nets get him? Especially with sign and trades being banned for tax payers starting next year, the Nets have no cap space and no capabilities to get Howard if noone is willing to trade him there.

Sothron wrote:Good for us. If the Nets get Howard the East is completely unwinnable by any team other than the Heat, Nets or Bulls if the Nets get Howard. Why not take the risk and get Dwight and resign him and his best friend Josh Smith and then try get CP3 in the offseason. Even if Dwight walks you still have no bad contracts and our picks to rebuild with.

but you dont know that Josh Smith would be probably be gone if we dont improve this lineup, right now this team need to take a risk and if they wrong they will see have all the cap space and they rebuild again.
