How much would you pay to be in Mitch or Jim Buss' office right now?

yeah i see your point on Jrich...must be why the rockets are trying to unload scola right now hoping to get an expiring and/or picks so they could take on his deal. the good thing abt houston for howard tho is that its still a huge market and he'll be "the man".

Speaking of huge markets I didn't realize until recently that Houston was the 4th largest market in the US. I would have bet that Atlanta and a few other cities would have been larger.

Houston has been involved in every trade rumor this off season.

If ORL is getting rid of J-Rich, Turk and Duhon, I'm down.

BTW, this is getting pretty good...it's Houston vs LA. It looks like Houston was prepared to facilitate the trade to LA, but now want to get Howard for themselves. Interesting to see if they say "screw it", and just go all in for Howard by themselves.

For the last time, Houston is not going to trade for Bynum on a Dwight trade. For them it's either Dwight or nothing. The Rockets don't have enough pieces around Bynum to contend and it would be difficult to build around Bynum when he's going to be paid nearly as much as Dwight.

Rockets remain strongly engaged w/ Orlando in direct talks for Dwight Howard, sources tell Y! They've spent little time on 3-way scenarios.

During the Wizards' rout, a heckler yelled at new Knick Steve Francis, "Hey Stevie, Where are you going next?" Francis turned to the fan and quipped, "To the bank."

Morey is such a moron. I hope for Rockets fan sakes he doesn't do this.
When Dwight leaves there will literally be nothing left on that team.

Exactly. We have 1 year to change his mind. Might as well.

People need to stop posting twitter quotes from people who aren't even credible enough to be included in hoopshype's media twitter feed.

Not credible enough for hoopshype. Think about that for a second.

I don't think a lot of people realize that the Rockets can't trade their 2014 pick in any deal for Howard. If he leaves the Rockets suck and likely end up with a top 5 pick the next year. It's really a win/win for a team stuck in mediocrity.

Would it be too much if the Magic asked from Houston the 2013 Toronto 1st rd pick and the 1st rd pick from Dallas along with Jeremy Lamb and Royce White while receiving Kevin Martin to unload J Richardson and Chris Duhon?

Could go to Dallas or Atlanta. Leaving Houston for one of those teams is easier than leaving LA.

And general question to people out there:

Couldn't Dwight as a free agent ask Houston (if he's traded there) to do a sign and trade for him to the Nets? Like, if he says "I'm going to Dallas and you're going to get nothing, unless you do a sign and trade and send me to the Nets in the off-season".

Not trying to be a homer, just want to know. Asking because that's what people said D-Will could do if he wanted the Lakers in the off-season.

i think the odds are stacked in houstons favor, due to all of the little trinkets and bells they have to offer.
