Big whoop, he can score 19 points on 15 field goals. Doesn't make him an elite center in the East. He is undersized for the position and has been nothing but an inconsistent role player to this point in his career.

with D12 moved to the west, BBD will be a top Center in the east

East of what, Palatka?

maybe east of Kaley avenue...

Kaley runs east to west...how do you get east of Kaley? Maybe east of JYP or perhaps OBT?
let paid professionals do their job, don't you try and do it for them...

Top 7 and that is with big IF. As for me, I don't really believe that personally.

BTW one might argue that Biyombo, Noah, Varejao, Gooden and Hawes are comparable or better than BBD. Which makes him actually one of the worst C's in the East, amigo.

I agree with Jiwol, all the guys he mentioned are better than BBD. People are going nuts because he averaged a 19/9 in the playoffs, but forget he averaged 9/5 in the regular season. You could add Noah to this list too.

If you take a look on Jiwol's list, all of them earn +12M a year except Monroe who is on a rookie salary.

BBD is in a 2nd tier with Okafor and Camby.

BTW, i like his contract (half of top centers in East) and him. We should keep him.

it's really not fair to BBD to make this comparison. He'd be playing out of position and way undersized to play there. If he has to play center all year, I expect decent numbers for the first twenty games followed by declining stats as the guy gets worn down by bigger opponents.

Don't get me wrong, I've said all along he's a great team guy and works hard, a guy I like having on the team, but if he's the starting center on opening night, it's going to be a long year.

We are looking at a long year no matter who is starting at center unfortunatly.

Dude don't even try to fix other people's grammar mistakes. You know how many times I've tried to show people the difference between "their" and "they're", or the one that drives me up the wall "you're" and "your". Seriously people, how hard is it to use the right word here!?

I knew Rob, Cleveland, Bobcats, whoever in the eastern conference wouldn't be dumb enough to make the Nets a power house.

Not sure how I feel about the new trade though. We lose Howard. Don't get Bynum. We do get picks and young talent. We also get rid of salary. Much better than the Nets proposed trash.

As awful as duhon is, his contract isn't handcuffing us or anything, I don't think it would terrible to keep him as long as we just kick him to the end of the bench. Hedo's is awful and J richs is long, Jrich is still decent at least though. . .do partially guaranteed contracts count only the guaranteed part towards the cap? Also, once Hedo becomes an expiring next year, wouldn't it become a more tradeable asset?

I also think some of us have a rather optimistic idea of what Houston's offering. They won't gut their entire roster for a Dwight rental .. More like Martin/2 young guys/Picks .. I don't think they're offering Lamb AND Parsons AND Jones AND White.

If they do, great for us. But I really doubt it. More like 2 of them. Which would still be good. Still better than Brook "Lean Mean Rebounding Machine" Lopez

gotta disagree with Hawes, Varajao and Gooden. Gooden provides no defense, same with Hawes and Varejao provides no offense.

Not saying he is great, but i believe he is better than those 3.

This. Why include him in any Dwight trade and lessen the returning values? Just keep him for now.

The one contract we need to get rid of is JRich. I'd prefer to trade BBD away also.
