After that 2 minutes ... unless you're doing the chassis ... come back and there will be 14 more pages of twitter speculation posts.
If you've got to provision some VMs, that's another 30 pages.

Josh Robbins came on 740 The Game's Open Mike at around 8:35 a.m. and he basically says he has no **** idea what's going with the Houston-Lakers rumors. There's nothing coming close to a solid trade offer at this time. But that it's a much better (and liklier) situation that dealing with Brooklyn.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXXVI Off-Season Editio
yeah the actual install is the easy part. It's hauling it across the parking lot to our server room that takes forever. No provisioning for another couple months. But yeah should be a good 30 pages deep.mhectorgato wrote:Blue_and_Whte wrote:Still nothing....back to work. I've got blade servers to install.

Don't be dumb Henny, get us Bynum. Even if he won't resign, we can still trade him for Houstons offer later!

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXXVI Off-Season Editio
I see some of you calling Baby a bad contract, I don't agree. When you look at how other big guys got paid and when you look at how good he played since Dwight got injured, I think he's on a good contract.
And Duhon, well, I just don't want that guy anywhere near a Magic jersey next season. Horrible player & he looks like a bad person off the court too.
JRich is a no-brainer, get Dan Fegan out of Orlando ASAP.

Agreed, but I would really love to resign him. No matter what others are saying, 20/10 centers don't drop out of the sky (and aren't usually available with mid-late draft picks). If we can get him here with a bright young coach (Shaw or Malone) I have to believe resigning as a centerpiece becomes pretty attractive.

If Hedo gets waived, only the guaranteed part will count against our cap (6M in 2013).

I said all of last year (and was generally belittled) that BBD is a hard worked and a good team guy. And as you say, based on what other bigs are getting, his contract is actually pretty attractive.
And Duhon, well, I just don't want that guy anywhere near a Magic jersey next season. Horrible player & he looks like a bad person off the court too.
While I don't like the guy's game, I know folks who are friends with Duhon. He actually comes across as a pretty humble guy that knows he lucked into an incredible deal (for him) making big bucks as a backup. He actually seems like a pretty down to earth guy that is enjoying what he recognizes as an unlikely opportunity. So I'm not sure where the 'bad guy off the court' reputation may have come from, but as I understand it, it's unfounded.
We should still move him if we can
JRich is a no-brainer, get Dan Fegan out of Orlando ASAP.
Agreed 100%. The guy is a freaking cancer. I'm guessing when Henny sees Fegan on his caller ID, he grimaces, then ignores it.

I have resigned myself that next year and the next couple years are going to be tough and we are most likely going to suck.
Does it make me a bad person that all I care that happens now is that Dwight doesn't get to got to Brooklyn?
What if this was his evil plan all along to make us hate the Brooklyn thing so much that we are actually happy he goes to the lakers? That would make him an evil genius.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXXVI Off-Season Editio
i just want to fastforward to the 2013 draft and see shabazz muhammad put on a magic hat (BTW - i personally think his "stock" drops a little bit this season and he might drop from a top3 pick to a top 10 pick - UCLA guys always seem to come into the draft a little undervalued because of howland's system - see: Love (taken after Mayo) Westbrook (was considered a reach by OKC at the time) Afflalo (who knew he's be a $10mil a year SG?) Collison (kinda dropped off but had a few very solid early seasons) etc.) so we may not have to be the absolute worst team in the league to actually get him - but we all know that at the very least muhammad will be as good as harden - i keep saying he has kobe-esque potential

The offer won't be available later. They aren't going to be competing enough if we want to do it at the all-star break to trade us that much for a 2 month rental of Bynum or Dwight. If you want to do the Rockets deal you have to do it now.

Exactly, There's only two bigs in the NBA that can average 20/10.. We can't possibly loss both!

Because it's not a given he wouldn't resign. Even Bynums reps recently came out and said reports aren't true that he wouldn't consider resigning with us.

Glen Davis isn't a bad contract at $6.5 million per season. It's the same money basically that J-Rich and Redick get paid.

Even better - trade JRich & Hedo; then waive Duhon (only 1.2ish guaranteed).

I doubt it, they've been begging and pleading for Gasol and now Bynum for over a year now... they want a star big man and they're not gonna stop til they get it.
