Anyone else curious about how our guard/forward rotation is gonna work?
At a guess (RS only):
C/PF Joel (20) / Bosh (34) / Haslem (20) / Rashard (14) / Turiaf & Pittman (8)
SF LeBron (34) / Battier (14) / Rashard (?) / Jones (?)
SG Wade (30) / Allen (18) / Miller (?)
PG Chalmers (30) / Cole (18)
I can certainly see Varnado being added, but Miller will struggle to crack the rotation, Jones is limited anyway, and guys like Rashard, Battier, Allen will be getting way less minutes than they're used to. Depth isn't a bad thing, but I'm curious how it will work out.
C: Bosh (35)/Joel(20)/Pitt(5)
PF: Battier (28)/Haslem (25)/ Lewis (22)
SF: Lebron (36)/Mike (15)
SG: Wade (30) Ray (30)/JJ (5)
PG Rio (28)/Cole (5)
I know that probably doesn't add up right. But I'm thinking Battier is going to be in a lot of the time that Lebron is so that Spo can go small and play them both as the forwards and they interchange between the two positions like the Magic used to do with Hedo and Rashard. Similarly, I suspect Rashard is going to split minutes between the two forward spots. PF when he's with Lebron(minimal) and SF when he's with Haslem(most of his minutes)(Haslem will probably always be played with Lewis to make up for Lewis's lack of rebounding). At center, I think Bosh is going to play most of his minutes at center next year. When Haslem is in, he'll probably slide over to the 4 and Haslem will guard the center spot. Situationally Joel will play. Pitt will probably never see the floor except in blowouts.
The backcourt, I don't think Cole is going to have much of a role next year, except when Wade is injured. Otherwise I think Rio, Wade, and Ray are going to take all of the backcourt minutes. Ray will be the first player off the bench. Probably subbing in for Ray and playing with Lebron and Bosh in that first unit to end quarters, and then with Wade playing point in the second quarters. When Rio comes out it's probably going to be for Rashard or Haslem instead of Cole.
And then we'll end the games with this lineup:
Ray
Wade
Lebron
Battier
Bosh
That's our money lineup that no one in the league can deal with. 3 all world floor spacers with Lebron and Wade. And then defensively we will be super athletic and long.
I could also depending on who we are playing envision this lineup:
Rio
Ray
Wade
Lebron
Bosh
Like when Boston plays that lineup with Rondo and Terry in the backcourt.
