Something has to be imminent though because you don't do that and then let Orlando back away. I guess today's last chance convo with Dwight is what did it.

Basically Houston will be Orlando without Jameer, EC3, and BBD's contracts on the books. Just to help everyone imagine what they're working with over there.

Something to think about, the more bad contracts we give, the less Houston will give us ..

I actually prefer keeping Hedo (buyout next summer) and get more in return.

I'd imagine so, because if it's true that July 17th is the deadline to amnesty, this move comes 5 days early IMO. No reason to do it today on a team with so much existing capspace unless they've got a deal in place.

I've been a Magic fan since 1990 and as much as I wish Dwight could stay in Orlando, I'm reluctantly resigned to the fact that he's going to leave us for another team. That said, if he's gotta go, I would LOOOOOOOVE for Hennigan to ship his asymptote off to Houston where he doesn't wanna go to play with Orlando's trash contracts. Watching him go to good situations in LA or Brooklyn would be tough to handle but Houston? I'll help carry his bags!
