Ok.
So Assuming this deal goes through (I think it will), I like what they offering.
Terrance Jones is impressive.
Royce White is my favorite.
Jeremy Lamb is a steal
I'm aware of what Kevin Martin Can do.

Anyway, people keep saying they will give up their whole team, I think it's more of a selection of the current players given, in which the magic can choose who they want.

Im not a fan of draft picks and all that so that part I won't speak on and could care less about at the moment.

Not sure what we would be giving up, but I'd also assume one or two of our rookies from last year may get sucked into this so Houston has SOMETHING young left.

JMO.

K, I'm going to sleep. Unless MTB is awake, can somebody please step up and create part 38 if we get to 100?

Good night!

saw this on TBN... not sure how legit this guy is... so take with a grain of salt

RocketsInsider wrote:OK before I start this info I'm giving this from someone close to the trade situation... and its only a little

basically what I'm hearing from my friend/source is that the Dwight deal is done...the players that the rockets are giving up are pattrick patterson, Marcus morris, and Kevin martin. My friend/source said that the rockets are really high on the new players from the draft. And also parsons which the magic really want. Als the rockets will send the Toronto pick to the magic and and other future 1st round picks. He also told me they will try to acquire josh smith to try to get Dwight to stay and if they have enough cap room they might take a chance at cp3.

Now if the Dwight deal does not go through.. the rockets will try to get bynum from the Lakers but a 3rd team would have help since the Lakers would not have the cap room to take contracts such as martins.

This is all the info I have.. and yes I know first post but I'm trying to answer questions lol

EDIT* Nvm, I just realized the user has 1 post and just joined tonight. Probably a troll... ignore

If only Real gm has some kind of sophisticated text alert system.

I think on the Android and iOS twitter apps you can now choose to get notifications from specific accounts whenever they tweet. We need an account that only tweets official transactions, so if your phone beeps you know something just went down.

Alex Kennedy..He only tweets important stuff.

Seriously, I can't think of a magic twitter account that would fit that bill. Maybe twitter will be a little more advance with that feature and allow users to implement keywords. Like "Dwight Howard, traded, etc."

 Amazing how many "insiders" TBN has had over the past year... This one is an obvious troll. 1 post, "RocketsInsider" is his handle, and a guy with real sources wouldn't be posting on TBN so late at night...

The only real info we have right now is that the media is speculating the Rockets got rid of Scola to have cap space to take back Magic players along with Howard. Obviously they will probably send us young players and picks in return. We also know the Rockets are now following multiple Magic players on twitter. That is all we know for now. A lot of speculation on the media's part and our own. Nothing official.

I was thinking more along the lines of a group account... like 3-4 people from this board. Whenever something big happens, that's not just rumored with "sources," one person from the group (whoever is available) can log-in and tweet it out to followers. Of course, anyone involved would have to be reliable and not be tempted to troll tweet just for the sake of giggles. Probably a bit difficult to orchestrate something like that, but that's one possibility of getting alerted 24/7.

The twitter follows from Houston came before or right after the Scola to be amnestied news, and a few hours before the espn story. I know that's a pr/media side of things with the twitter but it was telling nonetheless. (the other non-rockets players on followed are basically 1st/2nd team all nba, not average players)

So basically, from what I know, is the twitter follows, the Scola amnesty happening soon news, then the espn story and one-two message board "insider" news of the same sort with the espn story.

ESPN probably saw who the rockets twitter is following and then made a "sources" story out of it...

That's actually not a bad idea. Maybe something for some of our posters here to think about.

I still think the news thread could've worked. Even simpler, but annoying for the OP unless mods came in and helped on it, is to make the OP post of whatever currently open Spec thread update with thread pages of reports and tweets of trustable media, with the occasional less trusty insider rumor or reporter news. I remember we had one OP doing something like, that, updating the OP with the latest links, stories, rumors and it was really useful.

A final, less exciting, but completely official way is to simply get text messages from the Magic themselves and make sure the cell isn't on silent/vibrate. I can't quite remember how I got into recieving them but they are as official as it gets and also usually sent out pretty fast from a game result, trade, or draft, I think within 30 minutes or less of such a Magic event occurring.

You mean like this? (scroll through/look at the OP)

Yeah that was a pain to do initially lol... just saying... it's a good idea though... but it's tedious, trust me... but if someone is up to the task, GO FOR IT :)

and yes, now I'm going to bed :P ... just had to make one quick last check
