I wouldn't be surprised if Kidd starts at SG.

yep i have him pinned as the starter at sg

I have been a big Lin supporter and greatly enjoyed the games he played with the Knicks last year. I unquestionably want him back.

But I'm not going to quit the team over THIS. There have been plenty of other, waaaaaaaaayy more worthwhile reasons to walk away from this team over the years. Trying to surround the most talented core we've seen as fans in over a decade with as many solid veterans as possible doesn't even register on my list of grievances with this franchise.

That's just wrong in so many ways.

Woodson is definitely getting the veteran team he's always wanted.

IMO, we're still matching Lin but it sucks to lose Jeffries. He was a glue guy like Chandler.

jeffries has a bad knee

No sh*t sherlock, that's not what i'm arguing. As a fan, I have the right to feel a little nostalgic when a glue guy I like gets traded. After the season, he had the same knee procedure Kobe had in Europe. Kobe said he's never felt better after that procedure, so JJ's knee might/should be okay for his production in Portland.

and you need revenue streams to fund that

lin is a revenue stream, why would dolan let that go?

So he can pay Novak $4m a year.

Another factor to consider... even without matching Lin, we are setting ourselves up for a huge tax bill. We have made tons of moves to try and improve the roster.

... and even after all those moves and the money we have to pay, we are going to start next season with Prigoni and/or White in our rotation?

Don't see it!

Its so odd watching so many people ignore all logic just so they can panic on the Internet. There is no rational basis for the Knicks NOT to match Lin's deal. . .
