i'll hate the move if it's to replace lin, but felton is really nice depth. this is a guy who was considered one of the better pg's in the league when he was with us.

we can use this depth to play melo at the four and squeeze out amar'e if he refuses to get his act together ...

I guess we forgot about Michael Andrew D'Antoni and the effect his system has on players' statistics.

Look at Felton's career before and after New York. Mediocre at best and downright awful last season.

Guys like you are for real? I mean... you're not on drugs right?

Man... Felton was a top HS player, well the best in fact, a top college player and a champion, and a top5 pick in the draft, he also was a really good starter for a PO caliber team before D'Antoni.

What was Lin before Mike D? could you please tell me?

Lin didn't not mention the team. Marc Spears did it.

he was decent enough in charlotte and denver. last year was hard for him, but portland was an extremely slow team.

i am not saying he will be an all-star for us, but for $3 million/year he is a good piece for us.

Right. Because the addition of literally the fattest guard in the league and the oldest active player in the league changes our team's entire persona.

Yeah because skinny as$ lin and rough and tuff Fields are real enforcers.

Did you see Lin back down from any rough play last season ? Wtf

Prigoni is not a factor here. He was a nice guy to have as insurance... he was never a lock for any rotation minutes.

He wouldn't have signed if they told him they wouldn't play him. They did say they were going to give him playing time.

Once again, he is an afterthought. He is not a factor in the Lin situation.

Lin played MUCH better under Woodson than Felton did this past year. Small sample size, yes, but Felton has a large sample size of mediocre play post D'Amtoni.

Are you serious? Is Jeremy Lin your slave? FOH.

Knicks FO in damage control. They've been telling EVERYBODY they were going to match any offers for Lin. What "secret" information did Lin have to provide to the Rockets? LOL.

When is the deadline to match? Sunday?

We will match.

If not, I will post a video of myself eating my own pubes. Don't worry, we will match.

19/9 were his stats as starter

18.2 ppg 7.7apg and 4.7 turnovers per game are his stats as a starer.

Very interesting rounding you have going on there.[/quote]

It's cute how you're arguing that Lin posting 18.2/7.7 in his second season is actually a good reason to cut him out. If any of our others rookies did that in his second season we'd be hanging on to him for dear life, but now that Lin's done it, it's time to bring in Fatty Felton to replace him? I'm a Melo fan too, but your hatred is pathetic.

Lin played well under Woodson. He took over the 4th quarter of the Philly game, and that was a huge game for us. We looked GOOD with Stat, Melo, Lin, Chandler all together in that small sample size under Woody. I would've expected more of the same if we kept the core together.

Thank you. Summed it up well. Lin still proved he can play even after D'Antoni left.

Guess what guys?

I really think both Melo and Woodson had a say in this. Melo doesn't want to share the spotlight with Lin and Lin is not a Woodson-type PG. You know that once Felton comes here, he'll be treated like JR Smith.

Jeremy used what the knicks said and asked the Rockets to up the offer. Basically saying, "Oh, you're going to match anything? Okay, more money for me then."

This. Lol at using the stats where Lin was still being used as a garbage time bench scrub by Dantoni.
