This kid is the anti-Jordan Crawford. He plays under control and takes shots he can actually make. I'd like to see him start but that won't happen.

I think chances are better than 90% that Beal is starting by the end of the season. Evan Turner and Wesley Johnson were starting 10 games into their careers. Even Morrison was starting soon into his rookie season.
I think Beal will be far better than these guys, and it might take until the All-Star game for him to start. However he wasn't drafted to sit on the bench and watch "Professor" Jordan Crawford teach shot-jacking 101.

Crawford is a combo guard that can provide some spark off the bench. Hopefully the coaching staff has the good sense to start Beal immediately and use Crawford as the first off the bench for either Wall or Beal. In my opinion, Craw is a better distributor than he is a scorer and this would limit the amount of time Mack needs to be on the floor.

I'll be surprised and frankly a bit disappointed if Beal isn't starting by the end of the first month.

There's suddenly a lot of good young shooting guard prospects. Lamb, Ross and Jenkins, combos like waiters, rivers and wroten. Bigger wings like Jeff Taylor and Barnes and some from previous year marshon brooks, Alec burks and Kay Thompson. It'll be interesting to see if beal becomes the best of the group.

Given his draft position I hope he creates some separation in ability between himself and those guys he was selected before. I will be watching to see if he does.

I was in love with a lot of the shooting guards pre draft with the expectation of drafting mkg (back when everyone thought trob would go second) and adding one of the other guys. It's only summer league but they have done well.

Beal didn't look to good out there today.... 4-10 FG, 5-10 FT ( shoots around 76% in College) and total of 14 pts.

I like how much he gets to he line though, and he rebounds and Can assist the ball. Those two things he seems to do well so his role will be more than a scorer. All I care now is he got those chances at he line, now it's a matter of converting them. You can't be a high scorer without getting free throws. As badly as his stat line seems to you at one point lamb was 5/11. Beal makes one shot and fg percentage is the same ( lamb took more threes and missed many but made a lot of inside shots) which is similar to his college stat lines.

Both will be good payers and it'll Be exciting to watch these matchups in the future

Yeah but he did finish off 8/15 along with 26 points though. Plus he did miss only one free throw.

I would expect that Seraphin's efficiency will continue to improve because of better depth at center: he'll either get to play more with Nene, or he'll get more favorable matchups against the opposition's reserves. Also, foul trouble should be less of a concern.

Exactly. I'm not worried about Kevin at all. Randy and him have a great relationship. Randy is going to play him and Kevin is going to produce. End of story.

Actually they will have the good sense to not do that. They will want to win as many games as possible this year and its going to take some time for Beal to adjust. Give it some time.

I agree it may be better to start Crawford off the bench. Specially if that is where he will end up. Then he doesn't have to go through losing the starting job. They may want to start Mason if he is here or Martin instead. Then when Beal is ready he can slide in. First we have to see what the final roster is. But in the end, I am less concerned with who starts as I am how the two lines balance. I think lots of players are going to get minutes this year regardless.

I think Beal played pretty good. Remember he didnt play at all in the 4th quarter, so im sure he would of had even better stats had he played the whole game like Jermey Lamb. I loved his defense and energy as well as his court vision and ability to set others up. I also like the was Jan Vesely has been playing as well.

^^^I see these guys being close NH. They both have the same demeanor. I loved Wall's interview the other night during the SL game...the kid is really humble and wants to do well. He has a great attitude.

He need to work on it. Crawford as well. Crawford has chance to be a super star. He can drive and shoot. Problem is he not consistent.

I find it funny JC still has fans/believers out there. The only thing thats holding him back from being a solid 6th man is the mentality you and him seem to share.

Beals release is already faster then it was 3 games ago.

In the long run that is going to help him.

NO.

Crawford needs to learn what a good shot is vs. a bad shot. Once his shot selection is better then he makes the team better.

I'd like to see him be more of a playmaker and feed the bigs

I think Beal has been solid. Very impressed with his IQ. Still wanted MKG though and still think he's going to have a bigger impact long term.
