Have to figure, at the very least, Lin’s $14.9M salary in ‘14-’15 will really cost the Knicks $26M (after lux tax). Hard to make work.

https://twitter.com/darrenrovell/status ... 5636332544

Lin agreed to the structure of an offer sheet which makes it very difficult for the Garden to match.

So he shouldn't be surprised at all.

They didn't teach him street smarts at Harvard.

$26M for Jeremy Lin????

"He did not see this happening," Peter Diepenbrock, Lin's coach at Palo Alto High School, told Yahoo! Sports. "He sounded surprised."

WTF!!!!!!!!!!

so let me get this straight, they were 50/50 on matching Fields, but they won't match lin for 5 million more over 3 years?

We heard "50/50" from Brian Colangelo. We're hearing Knicks won't match from Screamin A Smith.

Question - Can we just wait until we hear from the KNICKS ORGANIZATION before we start flipping out?

Answer - NO.

Yes of course -- I'll wait it out. But the signs that we can read -- they look bad. Maybe it's just something we are reading into and the sources are all BS. Very possible.

But to be honest, I am reading some bad signals. I think they've made a decision. A ruinous one.

To be fair, Knicks haven't proved their a contending team in any way.

Don't shoot the messenger. But this is looking very bad IMHSO.

Wait... what? By including Kostas?

Do people relize that Felton is a much better fit with our team than Lin? You can argue all you want that Lin is the "more talented" player but, Felton fits our team WAY better.

And Lin very unproven

Where is the "Will Lin get booed when he comes back to the garden?" thread? Long overdue.

Now you're just talking crazy. Actually the only positive that can come from this might be the departure of trolls like tkf, doc and nyyrobertson. Oh and you too.

Answer me this though - If Knicks weren't planning on matching Lin, why were they in a mad rush to get the trade for Felton done last night, avoiding the offer sheet all night? They knew they wouldn't be able to get the same deal once they signed Lin, isn't that correct?
