IF Melo did make those quotes about Lin's contract, how ironic is that? I like Melo and wanted him here, but the guy wouldnt give up a dollar to come to NY and even threatened to go to Jersee making us give up all our assets.

Really, Woodson's honesty is not the issue. If he values Lin, he needs to vouch for him now. And if we don't match Lin, it's because Woodson either didn't value Lin enough or wasn't vocal enough.

Lin may leave just because the Knicks FO bends over for Melo. Melo is in charge of this team.
If you honestly believe that then you have some issues man
What's wrong with what I said? The fact that I believe Lin has potential? The fact that Melo is overrated as hell? The fact that the Knicks do whatever Melo tells them to do? They all seem right to me.
Knicks FO bends over for Melo, hence why MDA got fired.
D'antoni admitted he quit several times already.
Melo can't be overrated, even his fans hate him.

Woodson vouched for lin though, he has already said that lin would be his starter!

They already made more than that last year. Lin's the reason Time Warner came back to the table to put the MSG channel back on their cable service.

Don't worry, not everyone is in a camp.

Really, Woodson's honesty is not the issue. If he values Lin, he needs to vouch for him now. And if we don't match Lin, it's because Woodson either didn't value Lin enough or wasn't vocal enough.
But why does he have to go out of his way to vouch for him? This is a recurring issue with this fanbase that we need X person to vouch a player so airwaves are addressed.
And to be clear Woodson said he expects Lin to be the starting point guard once training camp/season starts so that's that.

He initially agreed to a deal that the Knicks felt they could match; this deal encouraged the Knicks to make certain roster moves. Then Jeremy Lin consents to renegotiate contract terms and agrees to a deal which would allow Houston to pay him 8-8-8mil over three years while the Knicks would have to pay 5-5-15mil over three years: A poison pill for the Knicks that would obviously deter them from matching.
So what you really wanted was for Houston to sign Jeremy Lin to a nice, friendly offer sheet that Knicks would definitely match with ease?
Question - why does Houston do that exactly?

He said Lin would be the starter, but the decision of keeping Lin isn't his.
Kidd was brought here to be his backup, and Kidd said he had no issue with that.
What else can he say, he doesn't cut the check or make the deals.

"starter" is not enough vouching. How about "potential all-star"? And if he doesn't see that, I don't want him as our coach.

dantoni got fired because the Knicks had one of the worst records in the league and team history during his tenure. Hes an awful gimmick coach I think we all realize that. Lin does have potential but do declare he will be better then an All Nba, All Star, Olympian, 9 year vet based off of 25 games is crazy. In fact its linsane
