Honestly, apart from the high probability that we will lose our pg, these threads have been ridiculously epic.

Wow, you took that way too far. Your comparing losing a sports player to thousands of people losing their lives. That's a little disappointing coming from a site admin. Idk what should be done, but you should definitely be relieved of your duties for a while
You're late man. That's over with. He apologized. The time to flame him expired about 5 minutes ago.

These threads have been the best. Epic is a great word.
I'll definitely be here tomorrow to watch either mass jubilation, or you guys burn the board down.

I still think Dolan should go on TV with Lin ... ESPN ... both wearing a purple plaid shirts. Right before midnight.
And make it like a game show called "Jeremy you're taking your talent to ....?" And let that same little jerky guy be the announcer.

I have never heard of players making public negative statements about a teammate's contract. Never. Not even Eddy Curry's or Jerome James' or Mo Taylor's. And it just so happens that they are saying this about the only Asian player in the league. I think there is racism involved.
It's hardly racial.

... Knick fans could be burning Dolan's effigy or something in the streets after he tells Lin he's going to Houston.
I am semi-serious. An ESPN announcement would really be something here.

It's Dolan's decision, though. Put him in the hot seat.

Apologies don't cut it, he might think it ok to mention that because he didn't lose anybody in that tragedy but there were thousands of people that were affected by that.

Yes but I envision Lin sitting next to him. "Jeremy, you're taking your talents to ...."
Get to see Lin's reaction.

I concur. ESPN Classic should show all six linsanity games in a row before Dolan and Lin make the decision. I think it would get more views then Lebron's decision.

Right? If it makes money, it makes money -- give it all to charity.
And Lin wouldn't get the flack that LeBron got because it's not his call. No bad PR for him out of it, which was the only downside for LeBron.

Ken Berger @KBergCBS
With deadline looming, Knicks weigh pros, cons of matching Jeremy Lin offer sheet. #NBA http://cbsprt.co/MBHDZl
On the eve of their deadline to match the Rockets' three-year, $25.1 million offer sheet for Jeremy Lin, the Knicks have yet to tip their hand. Multiple people involved in the process told CBSSports.com Monday that New York has not communicated its intentions to Houston or to Lin's camp.
But there was a school of thought in league circles Monday that the Knicks matching the massively back-loaded offer for Lin should not be ruled out as a possibility. Doing so would require that one of the Knicks' big salaries would have to be moved in the next two years or the team would face a potentially massive luxury-tax bill in 2014-15.

Middle class, not wealthy... and struggled a bit at first as immigrants. But very educated - both parents have Master's or Ph.Ds in engineering.
I guess very culturally different, but you know Shump's mother is a professor and he's middle class.
