So long as it's the same amount as money as Houston, i'm sure he'd like to be in NY... The whole "he's a winner" thing, however, comes after the $ is matched.

And endorsement deals rejected.

Henry Abbott ‏@TrueHoop
Wall Streeters say Felton better value than Jeremy Lin, which is debatable, but matters 'cause they advise Dolan

Yep I read a couple of these articles and some of the quotes from the Wall Streeters seemed nonsensical to me. The article would talk about how MSG stock shot up with Linsanity and has been tanking since Lin was offered the Houston contract and then the conclusion would be that we are better off with Felton.

And then you wonder how Wall Street firms lose $2+Billion in a day

My feeling is that every source any reporter has used is just someone who is assuming that the Felton signing meant we were not matching the Lin offer sheet... it doesn't make them wrong, but I don't think anyone has any definitive information.

I'm kind of down the middle right now anyway: The way this was handled, I think it's best for Lin to go. And if they show me that they're dumb enough to let him go while still pretending to be title contenders, then I'll be liberated from the hopes that drive continued fan interest.

I'll just know that they're all getting their comeuppance. But there will be nothing to see here and I'll just be able to walk away knowing that you can't invest in something that has nothing to give back.

Knicks would be proving that they don't have a clue. And Melo will be targeted and end his tenure in miserable fashion, rightly or wrongly.

Raymond Effin Felton. Unbelievable.

So, has ESPN announced how they will coverage "The Decision II" yet?

Lin needs to stay because the Knick team is looking mighty unlikeable right now, and It's going to be difficult to root for them.

Yeah I was wondering if Hahn mentioned anything about MSG or any other network having live TV coverage with post-game.

I'm hoping either way, a decision comes within the next few hours. But I know we won't be that lucky and probably won't hear anything until 12 or later.

JBreezeNY wrote:Honestly if the reports about Dolan being mad about Lin going around on the Knicks to get a better deal is true then I can respect the reason jimmy has been doing it because he put loyalty over everything else.

That's turned into a gimmick that the media is using to rile people up, and it works like a champ.

That d-bag on ESPN last night was calling Dolan 'a woman scorned.' Red meat for the 'keep Lin' contingent.

Can anyone fathom how depressing it will be to watch Melo, JR and Felton chuck away as Amar'e declines?

That would be one of the most uninspiring teams to watch.

Can't do it.

Wow, SAS is the biggest douche. He just called himself out. He doesn't want Jeremy on the team because Jeremy could possibly take points away from Melo/JR/rest of players. He believes in his little heart that Lin is an incredibly selfish player.

I mean that gif does sum it up pretty well. It should never be serious that a player leaving, leaves you distraught. This is the NBA where players get traded all the time & players go to different teams all the time.

Whatever happens, happens we're trying to win a chip if Lin comes back to help us with that then cool. If Lin doesn't come back cool we'll try with Felton & Kidd.

We won't be able to make many moves. Basically this is the team we will have. Letting the 3rd best player on your team go when you have to get through Miami, is not the best way to do a championship run. If Stat or Melo go down, there will be too much pressure for the other to do all the scoring. And, it will risk further injuries.

You spend a lot of time worrying about Melo....its Lin vs Dolan. Lin signed the offer sheet and now its Dolan chance to match or not. Melo has nothing to do with it

Seems to be backtracking. Yesterday he was saying it was a done deal that they wouldn't match. Now leaving himself an opening to crawl out of.
