Im just upset that we give all these bums insane contracts thoughout the years and someone who actually produces we dont sign him, I think Felton will play well here so Im not too upset, Im just looking at stats though.

Well, I don't know him personally, he might be the nicest man on the planet, but he's dumb. And the dumb carries over to basketball.

There had to be more to it then that. Lin brought in a ton of dough.

If the Knicks wanted to keep Lin and were not prepared for the poison pill after adding a ton of salary that might even be worse. More proof of being incompetent!

In 2015 we will still regret this when Felton is too overweight to play and Kidd and Camby are done.

This franchise is just dumb!!!

How much more will you be upset when 2015 woulda rolled around and we'd be giving Lin 15, Chandler 15, Melo 20, Amare 20. Bye Shump, bye Novak, etc etc.

That is why the Knicks should have been financially prepared. Or they have 3 years to make moves. Maybe get something for Shump or Novak.

Keeping Lin should have been there #1 priority. He was one of there best assets. And he may be gone for nothing.

Defend it all you want, but it would be a terrible basketball and buisness decision by the Knicks if it happens.

but it doesnt make business sense to not match. lin can still be traded down the line. its not business at all imo. if the knicks dont match it's because dolan is mad at lin... which is personal, not business.

What if turns into Yi with that contract?

I really don't think the team felt Lin is that good for the price.

Personally i would have matched just to trade him for a piece I would really want.

That is x10 better than letting him go for nothing.

Sometimes the Knick fanbase boggles my mind. You stick with this team back when we hyped up Randolph Morris and Jackie Butler being saviors of the franchise and when Eddy Curry was a top 3 scorer for us but now despite all of these follies and getting through so many rotten years to now have a playoff contender that can be a threat in the East possibly, you decide to jump ship?

This franchise has had some awful bumps down the road and now the fans are being rewarded with a product that puts those shameful teams to bed. If you don't want a part of rooting for a competitive team, than your just lost. Sorry.

The only time to hit the panic button is if Isiah is officially back with the team in some sort of capacity(Not this rumored stuff, until its concrete). Lin was a very solid player and gave us all a treat BUT lets not put the kid up in some ungodly pedestal. We will see how Lin does in Houston and on a team that's basically been gutted.

As somebody who is rooting for the Knicks with or without Lin, I'm still pissed off that we just let him walk.

What saddens me is how many fans are so quick to move on and give their sh*tty owner and his decades of sh*tty decisions a pass time after time under weak-ass rationals like "oh, what can I do about it?" "business is business" blablabla.

Letting the Harvard global sensation walk for nothing is horrible, and I'm not apologizing for being angry about it.

The Stretch Provision.

I seriously think Knicks FO is not even aware of this. They are that dumb. I would not put it pass them.

Nobody knows if he could be traded down the road, especially in year 3. Why take that chance with that Salary hanging over your head.

Stereotyping would be saying he is a bad person because he has tattoos.

Pointing out things he's actually DONE is not stereotyping.
