Been saying since the news broke: we've been planning for this the whole time. How else can you explain the ninja stealth move of Felton only a day after Lin signs the deal. Unless we hastily and in a fit of emotional rage went for Felton, inquired with Portland, tied up the logistics in a night, and thought it smart to announce instead of deliberating until today at least--the plan had to have been we go for Felton if (more like when) Lin poison pills us.
Which means we never really wanted Lin that bad, or else we wouldn't have claimed to every single media outlet "we'll match anything" and we also wouldn't have told Jeremy to "set his own market value".
Our FO seems to made a simple player appraisal: Felton is better for this team than Lin. Which is pretty f'n (Please Use More Appropriate Word).
