I hope Henny is not that dumb.

he isn't. it's more than likely just a smokescreen to get houston to up their offer.

What else does cleveland have to offer besides Waiters? Any more good young players on their Roster?

They have a kid called Kyrie Irving. But Kobe said he can't ball, and that he just got out of High School.

Well, they're not offering Irving, so why even bring him up?

If Howard goes to the Lakers and you don't want Bynum is there anything on the Suns roster that interests you?

My take is that ORL-HOU-CLE if they're talking, are really doing it involving a deal where Howard goes to Houston and ORL gets it cake and eats it too by picking up HOU's young players and dumping all its bad contracts. The key is CLE sitting on 27 mil of capspace if they don't pick up Boobie. So CLE ends up with a package like White, DAL 2013 1st, Patterson, Morris, 2013/2015 NY 2nds for taking on Kmart, Douglas, Livingston, Forbes, Harrellson, etc. HOU dumping 20 mil+ of their own contract onto CLE allows them to turn around and give the Magic the full brazillian wax contract wise. ORL still ends up with something like Lamb, Motiejunas, Terrence Jones, Toronto 1st, while dumping all of Hedo, Baby, JRich, QRich, Duhon.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

....Mufasa, I generally respect your opinions, but are you seriously suggesting we'll trade ALL of our prospects for a Howard rental?
But do you know what they call a fool, who's full of himself and jumps into the path of death because it's cool?

Summer league has proven the success of the Rockets' draft.

No way we trade all our rooks to rent a dill-hole like Dwight Howard for one year and take all the Magic's mistake contracts.

No.

Freaking.

Way.

I know Morey is hard-up, but my goodness, let's not get too homer-ish in our trade proposals.

Varejao, and picks for Dwight

or Atlanta offers

Zaza, picks, contracts of Devin Harris and Petro for Dwight and JRich.

the difference between the LA offer and Atlanta offer is that Zaza is an expiring contract, while Varejao has a 3 year contract left.

it is not a fair trade, but i think Zaza's contract is a whole lot better than Varejao's contract.

Varejao is signed for 2 years and 17.5 million. That is a great contract considering what Asik got. There is a team option for a 3rd year as well, which makes his contract look even better. Varejao could easily be shipped for a 1st rounder as well.

Homerism is a must around here. And btw, maybe those rooks were just being showcased.

Varejao, $17 million... Zaza, $5 million.... Zaza by far has the better contract.

no way, anybody would give up a 1st round pick for Varejao, he is a PF, he has been injured for the last two years, he puts up scrub numbers, and gets paid $9million a year while putting up scrub numbers. Varejao couldn't get a first round pick just like the Thunder couldn't get a first round pick for Perkins.

oh look, the atlanta fan saying their package is better.....

Varejao can play PF or Center. And teams desperate for a big that will do dirty work would definitely give up a 1st for him.

^ nobody is arguing that Varejao is better than Zaza, but Varejao doesn't take the Magic to the playoffs

and nobody is going to give up a first round pick for a guy who eats up $10 million in cap and will be injured for the rest of his career, and who will be injured during the playoffs. i don't know why people are choosing to ignore Varejao's sever injuries of the last two years. :o

Varejao's contract is just a horrible replace for Dwight, because Varejao doesn't allow the Magic to go after Harden or Bynum in 2013, at best, the Magic will have to go after free agents in 2015
