LOL he pretty much just approached us and ask why he wasn't ranked with any of the Canadian ballers.

wow that trey lyles news is enormous. i never wouldve thought he would. i wonder if theres any canadian pride, or its a kaman-germany/hibbert-jamaica type of deal. either way its a huge boost for the team. does JMNT count as international service so hes locked in to canada basketball? or does it have to be a senior team

He is under 17 so he would still be allowed to switch later but I do not think he has any plans on doing that at the moment. Wiggins will be with us though because he is over 17. The only way he could switch is if fiba decides it is an exceptional situation and I do not see that being the case.

Lyles is playing for us because he did not make the USA U16 roster last summer. This was actually in the works since last year.

The sky is the limit with Wiggins, a Canadian forward with sports in his genes -- his mother was an Olympic track star, while his father was a former NBA player. He's still a couple years away from finishing his high school career, but it's tough to imagine anyone passing him in the 2014 rankings. His athleticism is outstanding and he continues to expand his offensive game. Wiggins has been dominating for several years, and the future is extremely bright. In five years, he could be No. 1 on this list.

2012 All-Canada Classic Boys Game, Girls Game and Celebrity Game on June 13, 2012

BOYS GAME

The 12th Annual All-Canada Classic by Phase 1 took place in mid june at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada.

Team North(Grey) with players based in Canada took on team South(Red) for the first time in that format. The game was full of great plays and was a fast-paced affair. Grant Mullins of team North captured the MVP of the game with 16 pts, 8 assts and 8 rebs. Tre Smith and Dyshawn Pierre also poured in 16 points for the North. Isaiah Watkins of St. Benedict's scored a team-high 14 pts and 9 rebounds for the South. Damion Rashford of Westwind Prep scored 12. The game was close early but Team North was too strong and played great team ball winning it 114-75 over Team South. Enjoy!

GIRLS GAME

The 12th Annual All-Canada Classic by Phase 1 took place in mid june at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada.
Team West took on Team East for All-Star supremacy. Team West was led by Dakota Whyte(13pts, 4assts, Lindsay Shotbolt(26pts, 16rebs) and Taijah Campbell(10pts, 6rebs). While Team East's top guns included Samantha(Sammy) Hill(24pts, 3rebs) and Sandra Amoah(12pts, 10rebs).
Team West won it 71-70.
Check out the late game action and the last minute heroics by Campbell! Interviews with MVP Lindsay Shotbolt and Samantha Hill are included as well.

CELEBRITY GAME

Just before the big Boys game, the Celebrities took the floor to show what skills they had on the hardwood. Celebs participating included DJ Starting from Scratch, T-Rexxx, JRDN, Akil Augustine, P Reign, Nicole Holness, Anthony Farnell, Junior Brown, Paul "The Intern" Lemieux and others. The Celebs were taking on some students who we branded the Young Onez. The game was close but the kids took it 31-25 over the celebs. T-Rexxx was so unhappy with his squads play that he jumped ship ala Ray Allen and went to the other side, en route to the victory. Hopefully his celeb friends will still talk to him after the mutiny. A great game full of fun and laughter.
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales from the whole evening went to Sickle Cell Ontario on behalf of 2012 NBA Draft #19 selection overall Andrew Nicolson by the Orlando Magic.

June 30th 2012 Humber College in Toronto, Canada was the site of the Ontario Basketball Association(OBA) Alumni game. Cory and Devoe Joseph, Troy Joseph, Keaton Cole, Tyler Murray highlighted the Alums and Anthony Bennett, Nick Lewis, Grant Mullins, Shaq Keith, Kaza Keane, Duane Notice headlined the OBAers.

Great game filled with tons of highlights. Bennett put on and in-game dunk off that you won't want to miss. The Alums' Murphy Burnatowski has one of the plays of the game as well as he masters the art of Posterization!

You can pick from multiple games and it even has commentary. Wiggins is playing right now, just go to the link and click the game with CIA Bounce. 2nd half JUST started.

The Peach Jam goes through until I believe Saturday or Sunday. It is the best teams from the Nike EYBL, that have advanced from their groups.

Dave was being a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) with that comment. He got piled on by a few people and owned up to it and apologized for it.

FWIW he's a pretty nice guy generally, just a dumb comment by him.

That Randle kid is a bull of man child. Props to Wiggins for asking for that assignment because he took some physical pounding from Randle and did not back down at all.

Wiggins said he chose to defend the bullish Randle in the game, despite giving up two inches and 30 or 40 pounds. On the other end, Randle did not defend Wiggins.

Still, Wiggins frustrated Randle and forced him into foul trouble.

“It was a key matchup, everyone wanted to see Andrew vs. Julius Randle, so that’s what I gave them,” he said.

With 5 minutes left in the game Andrew Wiggins absolutely took over the game on both ends of the court. He locked down Randle, eventually fouled him out by taking the charge and was killin it on the offensive end. He had 24-8 in the second half alone along with all 8 points for CIA Bounce in Overtime.

Wiggins seriously needs to reclassify, he is so much better then every one else it would delay his improvement if he stayed in High School for 2 more years.
