people called him a reach, or that RAPS only picked him with Nash in mind, the "Nash pick", as he was being called.

but he's looked great so far. Yeh its only summer league, but im not talking about his stats.
He is a nice game that will translate into the NBA very well.

he has a sweet stroke, very athletice and plays like hell on defense.... some GMs r calling him the potential steal of the draft, after everyone said he was a huge reach.

what r ur thoughts on the Huskies star, now Raptors rookie...

:-?

he looked atrocious against the mavs the other day, and bad against the knicks.

Have you even seen him play ? He is like what Wilson Chandler was when he got drafted, but with a better motor. He'll pan out good.

He has great tools and a great head on his shoulders, if his shot was falling his stats would be great but more often than not was off. This could be attributed to his two-a-day practices with coach casey in vegas because he was known for being a great shooter.

He barely played against the Knicks and his shot hasn't been falling, but everything else we've seen is great. He's a great shooter, so not really concerned that his shot isn't dropping. Most Raptors fans hated this pick, but a lot of them have come to like it now.

Wilson Chandler had a jump shot when he came into the league. He wasn't particularly strong from behind the three point line, but he had a pretty nice mid range game. You could have him out there, tell him to D up and he'd be able to hit the open look if passed to. Harkless doesn't have a jumper.

Harkless is far more Trevor Ariza coming into the league than Chandler. Ariza put in a lot of work on his jumper and he still isn't a very good player.

I LOVED the pick for Toronto when they made it. Absolutely loved it. Still do.

No actually. It's because we got a chance to see his skillset and what he can do on the floor and realized he's a talented basketball player instead of looking at dumb mock drafts.

Alotta Raps fans where I live (Canada) hated this pick. I was the first to say Rap fans will love this guy. If not - I'll give you Stuckey for him. ;)

He can only really be a 'steal' if he becomes one of the best 2-3 guys in the draft over time.

Why did he barely played? Was he injured or in deep foul trouble? If he was being benched behind all the other scrubs in summer league, that's not a good sign.

While there was better talent available, I had no problems with this pick. Solid defender and has good potential to be a nice mutli dimensional scorer but nothing elite.

Dought he will sniff the allstar team but I can see him being Jason richardson-esque. Solid player and not a steal at # 8, but I think he will a great fit next to Derozen.

How can anyone possibly be a steal? Not even a single game has been played yet.

Give it a break.

I still don't understand why people use the summer league as any type of measuring stick for a player. It means absolutely nothing.

His leg cramped up after throwing down a vicious one hander on a fast break.

His athleticism is more impressive than his combine numbers show. He's extremely quick off ball and the term "bouncy" is definitely appropriate. He dunks with more force than I was expecting as well.
