He would be cheap, so I have no big problem with signing him as one of the wing players if nothing else develops. He shot 60% from 3PT range in summer league, good for him.

He never had a good 3PT shooting season in the NBA, so if he's progressed with his 3PT shot, he can be a nice spot up shooter for a team. He's never put up "pure shooter" numbers anywhere. Under 80% FT shooting every year in college, 71% FT shooter in the NBA, on 30.4% and 31.1% 3PT his first two college seasons even though he shot 42.8% his last one. Also a career 33.1% 3PT shooter in the NBA.

He has been awful in efficiency every year, .448 TS% for his NBA career with a 7.4 PER. It does look like his confidence is up though, and that should bode well for him going forward.

His second season in Charlotte, playing 78 games and 29.9 MPG, he shot 35.0% from 16-23 on 4 attempts a game with 60% of them assisted (Blake shot 37% on 3.9/game). Blake is obviously not a better shooter, but Ammo couldn't get separation to get clean shots off against NBA players.

He also shot 52% at the rim on 1.5 attempts a game. So he couldn't get to the rim much, and he was a poor finisher when he did get there (league average for SF's at the rim was 63% FG last season and was 62.5% that year). Caron Butler had 1.8 attempts and 56.5% FG, and he didn't look super impressive finishing at the rim (he was doing 4.9 attempts and 59% FG in 06-07), so imagine how bad Morrison looked.

So what has he done lately:
Adriatic League: 39.1% 3PT / 2.9 3PTA / 87.5% FT
Turkish League: 37.5% 3PT / 3.0 3PTA / 81.3% FT

At the least, it looks like he's improved as a FT shooter, and arguably as a 3PT shooter even though the lines are a little different. That definitely doesn't hurt him.

What are the thoughts on Morrison? Is there a roster spot open for him? Do they like him?

A few Clipper fans have said that Greg Anthony said that he heard that Ammo was going to get offered a contract by us. I personally didn't hear it, but I'm all for it. It would likely be a partially guaranteed training camp contract where he would have a chance to make the roster in October. If he can shoot like he is capable of shooting, then there's not much harm in adding him on as a 3rd stringer imo. He looks like he has some confidence in himself and he knows that the opportunities for him to make it into this league are running out. So the hunger should be there.

PACK MAKING THE MOST OF HIS TIME ON THE SIDELINE

“As a head coach you can kind of sit back and see everything and hone in on things,” Pack said. “Sometimes it’s the little things that actually make a play work or not work. You have to have your execution at a high level.

“As a point guard I needed to know where everybody needed to be, not just my position and what I needed to do. If that big wasn’t in the right spot I needed to get him there. It gives you the natural instinct to come in and command and put them in the right position.”

It’s been six days, but he’s already noticed things he’d like to adjust in his coaching style.
“I think being able to use what you have, the different things and being able to go to the counters that you know you’ve put in, but sometimes you get caught up in the game,” Pack said. “You’re prepared, organized, and ready for the situation, but now when the situation occurs it’s ‘alright, will I go to those things I have prepared.’”

Asked whether taking the reins as a head coach is something he’s looking towards in the future, Pack grinned and said, “The experience has been something to let me know this is something I want to do and I think I’m ready to handle it.”
