I think some Knicks fans are deluding themselves. I mean, yes he'll help defensively, but he pretty much sucks on offense and IMO this is a marginal impact move. Whoever said hes a huge upgrade from Fields? Not even close IMO. Good/pesky defender, extremely limited offensive game. Hes basically a Jared Jeffries replacement IMO.

I'm not even being a hater but when I read trash like "hes better than Lin" it just annoys me.

Iman and Brewer duo will be nice... Just like Tyson Camby playing together would be interesting to see.

Iman, Brewer, Camby Tyson, Kidd, Felton, JR.. Nice group of defensive abled players... And JR does fit into that category, he showed some good stuff last year.

For a team we thought didn't have much space to make moves, they've certainly got their moneys worth..

Find me a semi-decent Ronnie Brewer mixtape from his Bulls playing career and then Knicks fans can get semi excited. Very good defender but can't shoot or finish. I am more than happy to see Jimmy Butler take his place.

Ronnie was benched for the entire game 2 of the playoffs this year for those that don't remember how important he actually was.

Knicks are quietly assembling a nice caste of role players however I still see major issues meshing melo and amare. Even with those two, i don't think they have enough pure talent to compete with the likes of heat, thunder, Lakers and even grizzlies.

the knicks should start brewer and have jr smith come off the bench. Brewer can take the role of shumpert as a defensive minded player.

Let's make the first step before we take the second. Winning the divison and making it out of the 1st round should be the goal for this season. Then we'll see...

The anti JR. He's definetly better than Landry. He was part of the best bench in the league in Chicago and a great player in Utah (and not even bad offensively) next to Deron.

Great signing by the Knicks, they have no holes in their rotation now.

I think most would agree that the first step starts with your core players so you can identify appropriate and complimentary role players. These role player acquisitions seem to suggest that the Knicks think they are good enough to contend whilst they have lost a core player (lin) replacing him with a below average starting pg in felton. From a planning perspective it seems to be destined for disaster.

Fields couldn't hit a shot to save his life and was a below average defender.

Brewer by being a very good defender is already an improvement over Fields as far as the Knicks are concerned at the 2\backup 3 spots.

The meshing of melo and amare is crucial to the teams success. no doubt about that. But i was just adressing the knicks aiming to be on the level on said teams.

Lol grizzlies they aren't even good why pure talent do they have? Who is ur stay Rudy who with them almost didn't even make the playoffs c'mon son stop being a homer and hater knocks have the best bench in the league along with best defensive center besides Howard... Which is currently having a major back issue. Heat don't have a super strong bench lakers are the only competitors a

you my friend, need to get your facts straight. Memphis is a very balanced team and was easily a playoff team. Rudy gay is a solid player. Memphis matches up with ny in every facet of the game

gasol-chandler both solid 7 footers
amare-randolph - anybody with knowledge about basketball would undoubtedly agree randolph is a more productive beast.
Gay-melo both solid sf's
bayless/allen - smith/brewer pretty equal
conley >>> felton big time

i think any body with a good amount of knowledge about the game would agree that memphis is better then NY. Though it may not be by much they are definitely better. MEM would be 2-3 in east. while NY would be struggling to capture the 8th seed in the west. IMO

What are the Bulls doing? Good God... they can't shell out the minimum for a 28 year old who played nearly 25 minutes for them last year, yet they sign Vlad "Snowboard" Radmanovic. That Rose injury must be a lot worse than what is being said.
