Lakers already have a star. Andrew Bynum is a star and is ALOT younger than Dwight.

If the rest of us are just farm teams for the Lakers and Knicks, then how come the Knicks have completely sucked over the past 2+ decades?

And FYI, If the NBA is fixed and you'd rather root for a team who wins championships rather than a "heart and hustle bottom feeder" then why the hell are you a fan of the NBA and a Magic fan at that??

Gladly.

1) Knicks sucked because of bad management decisions on large contracts for average at best players. They are working to rectify that.

2) I root for the Magic because I have lived in Orlando for the longest periods of my life and for about the past decade. Most of which were a great time to be a Magic fan with Dwight being here and getting free tickets to half the games the past two years. (Except Playoff, I had to buy those). Now, I get to watch another superstar center being farmed for the Lakers. We train em to win championships elsewhere.

Uh huh. The "clarification" just happens to coincide exactly with ORL suddenly not wanting to make a deal.

If you just look at the facts at this point if they wanted a deal one would have been done by now.

When I look at the facts at this point, all I see is that if they wanted a fair deal one would have been done by now. Unfortunately for ORL, a fair deal for a Howard rental/gamble would be lower than the scraps CLE was offering when they thought Bynum wanted to be there. Hennigan is holding on to a depreciating asset in the hope of getting more than what the market is willing to pay.

You think LA wants to move into a post Kobe era without a star? You think Cleveland or Houston wants to move on without an impact player? All 4 teams are looking to make some type of serious move that will change the landscape for their future.

All teams want to improve, but the pressure to get a trade done is on the team with the much more rapidly depreciating asset and terrible prospect for the future.

Right now there is no reason to rush for Orlando, camp doesnt start for 2 months and they have time. No reason for a deal to be done immediately.

With two months left until training camp, at least ORL doesn't look desperate for an immediate resolution. Maybe ORL ought to wait until they do look desperate and then make the trade, for their trade partners' sakes. Afterall, wouldn't want them to overpay dealing with an ORL team that doesn't look desperate yet.

That'd be exactly why CLE and HOU wouldn't offer anything substantial to be the third team.

Bynum to Howard is what Melo is to Lebron. Bynum is a good player with great potential but Dwight is MVP status player. Bynum isnt even close to that.

If true, then fine, let him not attend. Just suspend him without pay and let him rot all season. I'm sure a lot of GM's will want to add a poison like Dwight to their team. For the record, Orlando has done NOTHING to warrant Dwight acting like such a baby. He and his agent have created this drama and have made Shaq's exit seem commendable compared to this.

you can't suspend him without pay, especially with his spinal injury, that would be illegal under labor laws. the only way you could suspend Dwight without pay is if he commits a crime (like the Artest brawl, or Micheal Ray Richardson drugs)

What would you call threatening to rape the entire city of Orlando, over and over?

Injured or not it's still pretty cr@ppy to leave a bunch of kids hanging at his camp. It really wouldn't be a big deal for him to fly into town for a few days to make some kids happy.

He's afraid/embarrassed to show his face in Orlando. I'll bet that every time his future team comes to play the Magic, his back will experience a serious relapse.

Why would he relapse? Its not like he's going to be missing anything. Orlando's FO is a joke. They better hope Hennigan turns things around. Im sure whether his future is in LA or HOU it will be better than staying in Orlando.

Look who it is 7 secs into the video. I guess it's okay for him to make it to this camp  The camp ran from August 2nd-6th.

If the Hawks call for a trade and willing to give up Al Horford + Jeff Teague for Howard. Would/Should Orl take it?

Orlando says 'yes', Atlanta says 'no, and good luck with your Dwight thing'

Not sure about Atl saying no though.

Danny Ferry is clearing salaries so they could make a run at Howard and Chris Paul. And in order to make this move, they would need to move Horford (I am assuming they are keeping Josh Smith, cause he and Howard are good friends). Of course they could wait till the off-season, but he may end up with another team.

If Howard plays in ATL this season, they could offer him with the biggest contract + his good buddy Josh Smith will help convince him to say, and they can convince Paul to come to ATL. It's worth a shot.

it is obvious that Atlanta has been saying no and hanging up the phone every time that Magic call :waaa:
