Afflalo and Harrington, who combine for over 45 million in the next 3 years.

I just don't see how that's significantly better than what Brooklyn was offering

They could just as easily move Lopez, a 7 footer who can get you 20 a night, for a lottery pick if they want draft picks so bad.

Apparently he just didn't want to move Howard within the conference.

Harrington's contract is only 50 percent guaranteed in 2013-14 and 2014-15. It can be used as a trade chip for teams that want to cut salary.
If they're thinking about trading whatever they get back in a Howard trade then Lopez is a vastly superior trade chip compared to Harrington.

Hell, even Brooks is a better trade chip than Harrington.

I don't want hear anyone on this forum ever complain about parity, competitive balance, or any other bull like that. As long as there are inept FOs like Orlando's none of that crap matters.

This is the worst trade I've ever witnessed and some of you had the audacity to say the Houston/LA/NO trade was garbage.

That trade was garbage.

THIS trade is beyond garbage. I can't find the right word to call it. All you can do is shake your head/facepalm.

Thinking about it...they pretty much did what they wanted to do. Trade Howard and create the worst possible team you could to tank and sending out your two worst contracts in Duhon and Richardson.

Well that may have been their perrogative, but I would've taken the risk on Bynum any day. Also...their WORST contract is Hedo, but obviously Duhon and Jrich were bad as well. Anyways, Its just not justifiable to me. ANY pros this deal yields for them are outweighed by the fact they traded a top 3 player for....this.

As a Suns fan, I love this trade. There is no way Howard doesn't ruin the Lakers. Kobe and Howard and their incredible egos on one team, there is no way this works. Next season will be entertaining for sure.

It sounds like the Orlando Magic will also receive Christian Eyenga in the four-team deal.

I don't understand, Philly give up Iggy (who they've been desperately trying to get RID of) and a 1st round pick for ANDREW BYNUM? How does Orlando not get him!?

Isn't Hedo's contract partially guaranteed? Also he's a good expiring next year.

J-Rich: $5.8M / $6.2M / $6.6M (PO)
Duhon: $3.7M / $3.9M

Davis: $6.4M / $6.4M / $6.6M
Hedo: $11.9M / $12M (PO)

Are those really their worst contracts?

Rob Hennigan is the general manager of the Orlando Magic. At age 30, he is the youngest GM in the NBA.[1]

The guy is 30 yrs old. If you're going to be THAT young, you better be really freaking smart, in fact, prodigy level with a ton of life experience.

This guy is not those things. He shot himself in the foot.

I KNEW he should have accepted that Nets deal. can I be a GM Please? I am smarter than these asshats.
